T-mobile is a wash and has no service. Sites are large, private, and there are ample water spigots throughout the A loop (non group camping). Our site had two tent pads, one being raised, and a long rv pad where our 25’ fit perfectly with little level adjustments. Could also fit our truck without blocking traffic. Would highly recommend if in the Durango area for a step away from the city, but not cut off from it!

We did a quick trip through Mesa Verde, but the park is cool and I would visit again to explore more of it. The site we had was small but all we needed for a quick overnight. Very wooded, with some hiking trails from the campground.

Nice clean sites with level ground. I still cannot believe these campgrounds always have the table and grill on wrong side of door camper!! They All do!! Very treesy, no view, but nice, quiet, quick drive to area for sites. Durango, Mancos, Reservoirs, Forest access. Easy off highway access.... therefore you will have hwy noise

Great campground right off the highway (which is he only bummer - slight traffic noise). Great Mountain View’s, private sites, water (for water jugs no RV filling), dumpster and clean restrooms. We’ll def be back!

Be aware that the website says it has water, which it does, but only to fill up water containers. You are not allowed to fill up your RV tanks. They have a cistern that the city fills up so water is limited. The camphost did allow us to fill our RV tank with about 10-15 gallons, which got us through. The vaults were some of the cleanest we've seen in a National Forest campground.
There are a few short trails but nestled again in a beautiful area.

ATT service was great, had no problem working from here and didn’t need the booster.
Fairly quiet and peaceful, not much generator noise and only a little road noise. The water spigots are for fill and carry only. They have cisterns and have to bring water in, so the spigots aren’t designed to hook a hose up to and fill up tanks.

It is a little noisy in the day because you are off the highway into Durango but it dies down at night. Our kids loved the trails that connect to the San Juan National Forest. Also GREAT cell service on Atat! Keep in mind there is water spigots at the camp ground but not on sites. Also no dump station and you will need to dump in Durango. Primitive means no electricity to so make sure your batteries are charged up. We will be back here again!

We have a 25' Airstream and had plenty of room for our truck and then some. You can hear the highway during the day, but it's not too bothersome (I'm pretty sensitive to noise); at night, the highway is fairly quiet. The vault toilets are immaculate. The camp host was friendly and helpful. It's a bit of a drive to Durango (and beyond), but quite close to Mesa Verde. We would stay here again.

After searching for boondocking in the area with no luck (all the spots were taken that could hold my RV), I gave up and searched for inexpensive locations to stay for the night. Target Tree fit the description at $20 a night.
I meant to stay just 1 night since I generally boondcock and not used to paying for spots yet this one was so pretty I stayed an extra day.
I drove in mid afternoon in July, looked for a spot and paid my fees. The camp host soon stopped by to greet me and mark my site as paid, he was very friendly.
The sites are very clean. And so is the campground. I did have to level my 26' Class C a bit but no problem.
There are short hikes in the area, which I love! I was warned of bear activity so keep in mind safety if you venture out.
I noticed all kinds of campers from tent to large RV - all are welcome! And it was quiet considering the park was full.
I'd camp here again. Happy Trails!
