Overall Rating
If you need a spot near Anchorage, but away from Town, this little pull off is superb. There are actually several similar pull offs along portage Road. In May, the campgrounds on portage Road may not be open. These Pull off spots are great alternatives. There were several rigs in different places along the way. We just kept going down the road until we found a great spot. It really was not crowded. If your trip is starting in Anchorage, and you are getting away late, this is a great option. Dry camping of course.
