While the views at this campground were gorgeous, that was about all that is above average. My husband, myself and two children felt as if the host was pushy and nosey. We were singled out on mutliple occasions for our children being curious of surroundings and playing during daylight hours. We found the host to be over-bearing with our children with rules we were never provided with nor were normal campground etiquette. We were excited to stay at a park with so many useful sites, thinking we would have our own space, only to be told that we had to stay within the first two rows on one side. Honestly, the two stars are for full hook ups and the scenic views.

I didn’t see much information about the park online, but we were passing through the area and looking for an easy overnight… this spot worked perfectly. I called to make our reservation, and while it can’t hurt, I was surprised how big this place is (probably the largest RV park I’ve ever seen). The owners/hosts were incredibly nice both over the phone and upon greeting as when we arrived. We were allowed to pick our spot, but they are all huge, perfectly level, and FHU (we wouldn’t have needed to unhook). While the owner/host lives on site, this park is relatively bare bone (i.e. no bathhouse or laundry), but she indicated that there was a WiFi (we didn’t use it). There is a ton of space for walking a dog, and it was serenely quiet. Our Verizon worked well, and it was convenient to be so close to town for gas, food, and etc. If passing through the area again, we’d happily spend another night or few here. Their current rate is $35, cash or check only.
Meanderings would stay here again

Tall Town RV Park is located on a large gravel lot near highway 395 close to downtown Lakeview, Oregon.
It is big rig friendly with long, wide pull-through spaces and wide lanes. There is no chance of hitting anyone else when entering or leaving a spot.
The park is a few blocks from both highway 395 and highway 140 so it is fairly quiet.
The lady in charge is very friendly, helpful, and informative.
Reservations are by phone only.
There are no amenities, it is not a destination park, best for short stopovers or longer term for people working in the area.
skrjones would stay here again
