Sites Were Small But Shrubs And Trees Provided Moderate Privacy. We had no cell signal for AT&T. Very clean and really busy. Lots of families and children. The area is beautiful and is close to both Rainier and St. Helens for hiking and sight seeing. The fishing bridge offers a gorgeous view of the river and beginning of Riffe lake.

There is a lot to explore here at the campgrounds including the famous fishing bridge ( which looks crazy because of the low water levels here) and the wetland area with some cool trails. Family friendly with kids able to ride bikes and there is a huge field in the new section of the campground. One of our favorite places to visit in the Morton area. We filmed some videos here for our Youtube Channel including 2 site by site campground reviews ( old area and new area). - Unique Adventurez

This was our first time camping and having sewer at the campsite! There was a great scavenger hunt the park had that the kids loved doing. The park was clean, the bathrooms were clean and all in working order. Nice area to bike around! We will be coming back for sure. Our trip we didn’t get to explore as much as we wanted due to rain during part of our trip.
T-Mobile- 5G but would only work in very select spots, could only receive and not send anything. Phone works at Highway 12 before the campground though!

This was our second time at the park - we’ll definitely be back.
We had a pull-through spot each trip with our little 17’ Casita, but there were plenty of big rigs with what looked like plenty of space.
This park is relatively close to Mount Rainier, Adams, and St. Helens. There are so many beautiful places to visit nearby if you enjoy nature!
The nearest grocery store (and gas) is in Morton, which is about 9.5 miles from the park.

We stayed in May 2018... the weekend before Memorial Day. The park is clean and beautiful. Lots of tall, beautiful cedar and hemlock trees fill the ‘old’ loop where we stayed. Our only complaint would be the noise. Since this loop has the playground area, there were lots of kids. Many on bikes, scooters, and various other ride-on devices. Kids were loud and heard throughout the park. Many were up and riding through the park and being loud well past the 10pm quiet hour. Their parents were equally loud... loud music and partying late into the night. We love kids and love that these kids were out playing. We just enjoy quiet camping, so we’d likely stay in another part of the park on future visits.
Still.. lots of positives for this park! Full RV hookups, firewood available, great views of the water (though not from camp), hiking options near the park.

We paid $28 for a walk in tent site. The park was very beautiful and clean but I couldn't stand that I felt like we were all on top of each other. Drove around the other loops and it looked even worse for RVs. It's a great location of you have a boat, are into hiking, and using FS roads. Unfortunately when we went the first week of August the bridge was closed due to wild fires. There is a ranger station near by that directed us to Angel Falls and Layser Cave. There are primitive sites that are in the area that I will stay at next time. There is also a small market on the main road. Like I said very clean, friendly, safe, but the fact I could hear my neighbor snoring and everyone's kids screaming I wouldn't stay here again.

The other review is spot on. Sites are level and clean, scenery is wonderful. Better if you have boats as the lake isn't as fully accessible but we had a great time. Stock up in Morton as the local grocery place is pretty thinly stocked

What a wonderfully laid-out and maintained park! It's big, and it's really appealing. Large sites, many trees, spotless everything, and ready access to Riffe Lake in the central Washington Cascade foothills. It was popular when we visited last June -- not completely full but pretty close.
Note that the tall conifers in this campground appear to have been limbed a good way up -- whether by nature or by human beings (a branch of nature, I suppose), we're not sure. It's like being in the woods, but the woods are... airy. All very tidy-looking (taidy?).
The part of the lake where this campground is located... is narrow. If you stack about 80 fisherfolk elbow to elbow it spans the whole lake. There is a fishing bridge, apparently constructed to prove this theorem. I did not count the fishers, but this is my estimate. I heard a fellow say that they line both sides of the bridge, from shore to shore, sometimes. Those trout don't stand a chance.
There's a boat launch, an older section with extra trees, a big grassy meadow (actually a septic drain field), a swimming beach for the kiddies, and a grove full of nesting Great Blue Herons. What else could you want?
Well, you could want cellphone coverage, I suppose. But you wouldn't get any, at least not from Verizon. Whatever.
