There are some fun trails out past some of the campsites. We were pleased that there was a playground for our two young boys, who loved it. Park was pretty clean, and there was a free library box near the vending machines beside the laundry room (two washers and two dryers, all working).
There was heavy rain and thunderstorms the first night, and the next morning the whole campground smelled like grey water, but again, not a big deal. The dump station was working and easily accessible.
The other campers were all very friendly and weren't loud (we were probably the loudest with our two kids...). One of the other campers even gave our boys his old fishing tackle boxes that he'd just replaced--am amazing present!
Overall, a very nice place to relax!

Convenient from the Interstate and reasonable priced. Large pads included water and electric. Shower house was tired but clean. Staff was very friendly.

Nice and convenient to Memphis, pretty place with lots of trees and woods.
The camphost could do a better job cleaning out trash from firepits and blowing or raking leaves off site pads and on the campground circle road. It was hard to see where the road was in places with so many fall leaves on the road.

On a more positive note, Robert the Campground Host was very pleasant. You may also want to know that in addition to the park being near a very rundown part of town, we had no cell reception with both T-Mobile or Verizon. I was able to get a signal from AT&T from hot spot in my truck.

The whole campground wreaks of raw sewage. It is as if someone opened their black water tank at their site.
Arrived at 5PM to find someone set up in our site. The park and facilities are dirty and unkempt.
Not a vacation spot. Avoid at all cost.

The place has a sewer smell that would regularly waft through that was quite disturbing. We were staying one night and took advantage of the ice and laundry room. The place is cleaned every day but they could do more to clean their mops. Very nice staff and amazing history of the park itself.

Cons: Bathouse in sorry state. Worse on men’s side than the women’s. Cleaning, whenever. The camp office is closed on weekends when traffic is busiest—go figure. And the smell of sewage from the neighboring sewage treatment plant after it rains!! Really bad.
We’d stay another time solely due to location and price.

Verizon coverage is marginal. In and out zero to one bar.
