Infrastructure needs some TLC, ie, some electric boxes are damaged with broken plugs. Buildings appear old and not maintained properly; need to be painted and/ or wood needs replacing. Junky looking props (canoe or kayak at entrance) A little sprucing up would make a big difference. Staff friendly and very helpful. Locals fill the campground on weekends. Did not use showers but they are "rustic" at best. Did not use restroom. Price is too high for the quality of appearance and amenities for this campground

It’s okay, not great. Decent size campsites. Bathrooms not that clean, but not gross. Showers not hot. Lots of day use traffic in and out. The employees drive around in what must be diesel golf carts (really loud).

Our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the bathhouse. Though the sign on the door says they are cleaned daily, they are not. They were pretty gross...the bathhouses need to be bulldozed and then start over...they were worn out in addition to being very dirty. Only one shower per gender also...there definitely needs to be more than one. Other than that rather large complaint, we didn’t have any other issues. We will stay elsewhere next time unless the bathrooms get better.
Lancescar would stay here again

Typical private campground at a fishing/canoeing area. And I don’t really mean that as a criticism, just as an observation. We stayed here because we were not sure we could fit in the Blanchard Springs/Ozark National Forest campground. Bath house is pretty rough. Even so, this campground was better than the 5 or 6 others we drove by. If your trailer is less than 25 feet, go for the National Forest campground. Facilities are better and the creek is prettier there. However, if you need full hook ups, this place is probably your best option.
