“Surprisingly quiet”

Reviewed Aug 09, 2018

Overall Rating

This isn't a destination campround but a very convenient stop while traveling. Surprisingly quiet for a campground so near a city and highway 5. Sites are clean, shaded with large mature trees, and nicely spaced. The amount of time and warm water you get for a quarter in the shower was good. One of the 2 women's showers didn't work an... more

“Made in the Shade”

Reviewed May 29, 2018

Overall Rating

Red Bluff is notorious for being a hotspot (literally) in the Central Valley. Temperatures frequently soar over a 100 degrees in the summer. Well good news....Sycamore Grove is Just off I-t and CA 36 on the Sacramento River with plenty of shady trees and grass to help cool down that hot summer day. Ice cold frappuccinos can be purch... more

“Quiet campground with lots to explore”

Reviewed Apr 04, 2018

Overall Rating

Level sites some with electric/water hook ups. The downside is no dump available on site at all. Sites are open with lots of trees and plenty of space in between. We spent a few days and have no complaints. There are about 4 miles of trails to explore and while it’s not mind blowing scenery, it is a nice walkabout. There is a visito... more

“Disappointed ”

Reviewed Apr 01, 2018

Overall Rating

Campground very overgrown and needed lots of maintenance. Clearly had not been mowed in months. We barely fit into our site that was listed as 44 feet. Lots of trash in our site and fire pit. There was an abandoned travel trailer next to our site that had an expired license plate from 2007 with boarded up windows. Then a group of campe... more

We enjoyed our stay at Sycamore Grove. We had spot 18 with hook ups and had to park our truck in another empty spot ours didn’t have enough room. The Camp host was very friendly and allowed us to check out late. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the trails and river. The rest of the camp site were very tidy and well kept. “Great value stop with power”

Reviewed Jun 19, 2017

Overall Rating

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay that still had power and this place fit the bill. The website says 44ft is the max length. We are closer to 50 with our motorcycle on the lift at the back and about 62 with our tow car and we fit in a pull through without any issues. Some of the back in sites have trees at the end of the... more

“First attacked by bugs bad on our site broken into no locked gate”

The bugs were particularly bad due to overgrowth from the adjacent field. Off citronella candles nothing helped. No locked gate so people come and go late at night. we got broken into our car and ripped off poor area of town. Ok for RVs that r locked ;)

“Overnighter near the freeway”

Reviewed Jan 21, 2017

Overall Rating

A little rough around the edges and nearly completely empty when we stopped here in early November. Access to and from the freeway was easy though, and it was cheap.

Downtown Red Bluff is cute, and we stopped and had breakfast at the Tremont Cafe on our way out of town.
