Beautiful setting for a campground nestled among aspens along a scenic lake. We listened to a bull elk bugling at night, a Great Horned Owl hooting, Trumpeter Swans trumpeting, and met great locals who have been visiting for decades. The lake is about 18' deep and is stocked with Rainbow Trout. No gas motors are allowed. Beautiful dark night skies! There is a black bear resident that does explore the campground. Trash, recycling, free firewood, and vault toilets are available. It is also open past October 2nd unlike most campgrounds in the area. Cash only, self registration booth is green near the vault toilets. Day use is free. It would be a great paddling lake if it wasn't for the blue green algae bloom. Campground is about 6 miles off the highway. This is probably one of our favorite places we have ever stayed! No walking trails, but you can walk the main dirt road in through farm country as it is real quiet and scenic.

Nearest water and sani-dump are at the Valleyview rest area/visitor center.

Barely any AT&T (roaming on Bell and Telus) service right in the campground. Starlink worked beautifully and we cheered the Starlink train that went over each night.
