Great staff, water spigots everywhere. Had decent cell coverage with Verizon. A09 is the sight we stayed at. There were lots of low hanging branches that made backing in a lot harder

First, our price is with the Lifetime Senior Pass so half price otherwise this is way too expensive for what it is. We found this campground to be only okay. Most sites are separated with a lot of vegetation which is nice except for ours which had someone move in our second day that backed right up to the back of our RV (and liked music and lights on all night). The site was level and the electric worked. Tried talking to the host about something but he was a bit too high for a conversation. LOL We go 2 bars 3g on Verizon so put up the WeBoost which helped. Satellite service does not exists. The park is close to Florence, which is a lovely town to visit. Any access to the beaches are a long drive so be aware of that. I just found the park to have a lot of trash laying around our site and on any walks I took. I didn't check the bathhouses. We went to the Dunes National Rec Area about 40 minutes away were I took some photos

Apparently this has been going on for a long time. They have port-a-lets, but when we arrived they were full- to the point where feces was inches from you when you sat there. Disgusting. However, during our stay, they emptied and cleaned them and it was much nicer. Still would be nice to have a regular flush toilet. Aside from that, the campground is very nice, and with a little TLC should be a five star!

The flush toilets were closed when I stayed and porta potties that were in need of being emptied were available. There was no information online about the bathroom closure. If I am in the area again I would not return to this campground since nearby state parks with better amenities for an equal or cheaper rate are available.

Decent place to use as home base to explore. Not sure if this is year round, but it is very wet. Lots of mosquitoes. Had electric. Rate was with senior national park pass. Host is very nice and helpful. If staying in A loop, the first few sites are back in at the wrong angle. What you do is drive the entire loop as if you are exiting, then you will be at the right angle to back in. A loop is really shaped like a lollipop. No dump station so you have to get water at any number of road side spigots. Bath houses were closed with portable pit toilets outside. Old Town Florence is fun to explore. Also went north up to the sea lion caves and Devil's punch bowl. Nice day's drive.

The sites are well spaced with bushes and trees for privacy in most cases. We stayed in the group D loop and the only complaint I have is that it’s right next to Hwy 101 so you get a bit of road noise in that loop only. The rest of the campground is well away from the hwy and quiet.
Lots of trails to hike but no beach/ocean views. It’s within very easy driving distance to a lot of attractions both north and south. The price is good as many coastal campgrounds charge more for less appealing sites.

Even your booster antenna won’t help you. I’m told Verizon is good there but cannot confirm.
So will I be back? Yes. When I want to dry camp and disconnect from the world. I had to leave early this time because I needed to get work done and the no AT&T was a show stopper for me. The hosts were very nice also!

Listen, the campground is clean. If you're looking for just that, you're all set. But there is no view of the beach, even when hiking down the road to the "viewpoint." Yeah, not happening--but you will see some beautiful sand dunes.
