There's a bombing range/parachute range directly on both sides of the OHV area, literally a few signs and a small ridge separate the OHV and Bombing range. Most OHVers wander onto it on the weekends. Jan. to Mar. the Blue Angels practice 3 times daily right over the range and twice-a-week (week nights) Ospreys would practice shooting at night with tracer rounds. Would sit on the trailer, eat popcorn, and watch the show.
We were the only ones here most weekdays. Weekends would bring 30+ rigs, but everyone was pretty respectful about parties/noise. Probably the greatest free entertainment you could ask for. Nobody parked within 30 yards of us in February. Not sure why there's no other reviews of this, maybe its a secret, maybe we were just there at the right time. With El Centro and Brawley minutes away, warm winter weather, and lots of entertainment, this place was great!
