“Nice little spot for a night.”

The maximum overall length for your rv is 28 feet. Some of the spots hare double wide so you can pull your tow rig next to your rv. Some of the sites have great views. There are also some small pull thru sites.

The view of the stars is fantastic. Surprised there was no snow here. Apparently that is not the norm.

Hard to believe this campground is free! Super easy access, nice restroom & all around well taken care of! Spaces aren’t large however, so large rigs might have more trouble. No ground fires or water station this time of year. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uY-FV9bMg8 We departed from our tradition and actually stayed in a campground, because this is a tiny square of "U.S." land surrounded by a whole lot of Navajo Nation that we were traversing between Valley of the Gods and Flagstaff. As campgrounds go, though, this was a very pleasant stay. ... more

I can't believe this place is free. Flush toilets, with sinks. Dish washing station outside of restroom. Trash cans. It's clean and quiet! About 30 sites and only 5 filled. Perfect! I've paid actual money for a lot less.

Asphalt parking, and our site was super level. Also, located by the restrooms and camping sink, which were clean. Our site had a trail down to a secluded picnic table and a sunset overlook. The park has dog friendly trails, and a wonderfully preserved Publoean village for viewing. During our visit the camp was mostly secluded and q... more

The Navajo National Monument is one of those places you really want to go to as it's in the middle of nowhere. But it also makes a great stopover point if you are transitioning the area. Highly recommended if you need a (free) place to stay. A gorgeous place to stay. A peaceful place to stay (at least in the winter). Our caravan ... more

I don't stay in campgrounds. But because this one was free, off-season, and a good stop-off for our final destination, (Valley of the Gods) we stayed for three nights in the beginning of March. Holy crap. This place, for FREE, was one of the best places I have stayed at because it has: 1. Scenery 2. Privacy 3. We were the ONLY ... more

We've stayed atCanyon View before and liked it a lot. Threat of rain caused us to check out Sunset View. While they have running water, it's just in the (clean) bathrooms, and no faucet is threaded. The bathrooms are lit, but have no receptacles for charging devices. This place is next to two amazing ruins, although getting to one take... more

We did a road trip through Arizona in September 2016 and stayed at 6 different campgrounds in a 30 foot RV. This was our favorite! I was nervous about staying here because the limit is 28 feet (I did my research before leaving home, and then was upgraded to a larger RV than planned upon arriving at the rental place). Our RV fit fine at... more
