Full hookups, no extras. Was comparatively priced to other campgrounds. Bill and Tami know how to make you feel welcome and are a wealth of local information. Agree that a privacy fence would be in order as the dog barking is real. Super clean and well maintained. Internet was weak. Definitely need to add a booster for the far side.

We travel full time and when we pay this much normally there is a laundry room, bathroom, dog park, etc.
It was a last minute decision to come and they were one of the few places to stay that was “open” from trees so our satellite internet would function for work - which is why we did it reluctantly with the price.
There was a house behind our spot which had dogs outside that barked at us every time we left our camper. Would greatly benefit from a privacy fence!
I would only call a few sights “big rig friendly”. We have a 39ft 5th wheel and had to park our truck tight up against it sideways to stay in the spot.
The owners were a very SWEET couple and even gave us homemade dog treats for our pups which was a sweet gesture.
We fell IN LOVE with the town of Custer & the state park! It was quaint and charming - the epitome of small town America! If it was not cold 10 months of the year we’d never leave!!

I had an amazing stay at Sunset RV Park with my 2 fur babies. Custer is a small quaint town and I wouldn’t stay at any other campground if I return! Tami and Bill are excellent hosts! I recommend them for short or long stays! I stayed in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

We Love this area and this park is perfect!
It's small with 9 sites. We were lucky and got the "wooded site" by far the best site there.
Last time we stayed in site 2. The hosts are AMAZING People!

Hard packed gravel with hookups located close to the connection points on the coach. Short runs for power, water and sewage. It is adults only, no kids allowed. Also no showers or restroom facilities, so no tent camping. You have to be self-contained. A quick couple of miles north and you're in downtown Custer. Very little highway noise can be heard making this a nice, quiet place to watch the stars at night.
The park has its own WiFi, but we never used it. We had ample cellular data for our AT&T hotspot. T-Mobile on our Consumer Cellular phones seemed weak, but using WiFi calling eliminated that problem. In town we had strong T-Mobile LTE on our phones. I honestly can't think of anything negative about this park.

Great wifi, nice back in sites, and perfect location to exploring the black hills, especially Custer and a Custer State Park! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit this area.

It's well off the highway so it's quiet and Bill keeps the park well manicured. Tami and Bill checked on us almost everyday to make sure everything was ok. All the Hook-ups worked with no problems. The 9 total sites are well situated for privacy with plenty of space between each site. No sardine can KOA here. There's grass everywhere except the level, gravel spots for your RV. A few of the newer sites have shade trees but with AC in our travel trailer the heat was no problem. The park is only a few minutes south of Custer and centrally located to all the recreation of the Black Hills. I'd recommend Bill and Tami's RV park to anyone that wants a no-frills, clean place to stay near Custer. It is a head and shoulders better value than any other RV park in the area. If you're travelling with little two legged monsters, i.e. children, and need amenities that you probably won't use, this park is not for you. If you want a quiet, clean, easy in and out place to stay with good cell service and strong internet, this is it.

Small park, nine spaces, far enough off the highway on a well maintained dirt road to drown out any highway noise. Tami and Bill were great, very communicative by both email and text, and they came to greet us once we parked. Only four people there when we arrived, we were there to ride the Mickelson trail. The weather was not totally cooperative, we ended up staying a few days extra in the hopes it would clear up. Trail access is just across the highway, and Custer is within 3 miles with ample services and dining options. Cell signal was strong, their wifi was somewhat reliable, when it worked it worked well, and then it wouldn’t. Would stay again if in the area.
