Easy walk to town which is super cute and quirky. Nice brewery to visit, sit outside and look at the water. Great pizza place with gooey garlic knots. You're also close to the lighthouse and easy trip to Campobello Island in Canada. Don't miss Campobello!!!!!

Although we were spoiled with the very last site in the row this was perhaps the prettiest spot I have ever camped. No sewer but did have 50 amp service. The surrounding coastline and towns are storybook pretty. Good food options in the area to choose from.

Though paid-up, we didn't stay our second night only b'c we needed to get on down the road with bad weather setting in. Wifi was decent, too.

Every site has a water view. Yes, the sites are a bit snug but the views, friendly service and pristine location make it just short of 5 stars.

Fantastic little town, the most Northeastern village in the contiguous US. Lots of history with all the smokehouses. Be sure to visit McCurdy smokehouse in town. It's now a museum run by former employees.

The bathrooms are clean, and the store sells ice and firewood. If you can live with the lack of privacy, you will LOVE the location. We use a tiny 6 x 8 camper but lots of folks with big rigs stayed in them most of the time, perhaps to maintain some privacy? Surprisingly it was quite quiet despite the close quarters. We had a great time and will definitely be back, this is our favorite part of Maine.

The picnic tables are behind the sites, not next to, which means you are parking very close. We lucked out that there was no one next to us on one side so we could sit right outside our van. Otherwise I don't think there would have been room.
They do not allow seasonal stays which was nice because there were no elaborate setups sprawling out.
At&t signal was pretty good. Consistent enough to answer emails and stream a video.

The views here really can’t be beat and while only a handful of sites are on the waters edge there are great water views from every site in the place. The park is also very convenient to town and lots of area attractions like Quoddy Head and Cutler Coast Trails. We were sad the border to Canada was closed due to COVID as border crossing from here would have been very easy.
The spots are close together but because there’s open space and views in front of you it doesn’t feel as cramped. The campground has a few amenities such as providing lobster cooking equipment that were on hold due to COVID but they still had firewood and ice for sale, laundry and free hot showers.
We had great service with AT&T here and worked no problem. Driving around the area we often lost it but it always worked great at the campground and in town.

Great little private campground! Less than 10 minute drive to downtown Lubec & to Quoddy Head SP, and right across the street from Monica’s Chocolates (don’t miss it!). Folks come here for the water views of Johnson Bay, and almost every site has one! Sunsets also live up to the park’s name. Rate listed is nightly, there are weekly & monthly discounts.
Pros:
- The nicest & most attentive staff and camp hosts ever! Extremely responsive to emails, calls, & requests.
- Views, about half the sites back up to the water (back in) & all have some kind of water view (Pull throughs).
- Location, proximity to local sights
- There’s a little spot to walk down to the water where you could also launch kayaks
- Good Verizon signal for us to work with video calls (extended network). 9 mbps down / 7 up.
Cons:
- No privacy between sites. Like most private campgrounds the sites are pretty close together, but the staff tries to space folks out when they can. Lots of space to picnic, relax, have campfires behind each campsites though.
- Partial hookups, no sewer. There is a dump station with dump tanks available, or you can pay for dump wagon service.
- FYI, cash only
Overall, beautiful, relaxing, and convenient. This is the place to stay in Lubec!
