Kurts Family Travels would stay here again

“Very tight sites but a good place for a few days”

Reviewed Aug 08, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed here for a week on our way to the west coast. It's a medium sized park with some basic amenities. It's right off of the interstate but the noise isn't bad, even in the sites that are closest to it.

The best, for kids at least, is the pool area. While the pools aren't deep at 3 to 4 feet each, there are two separate ones. The first is huge and has plenty of room for everyone. The second is decent sized and has two water slides going into it. Very much kid approved.

There is a small playground area but nothing too fancy. Next to the playground is a HUGE grassy area for picnics, volley ball, etc. This campground is very family oriented with kids everywhere. A good thing in our book.

The sites are very tight and short. We had a back in site that was supposed to fit our 31' rig easily. I had to back in within inches of the fence and still had to park our Jeep cross-ways in the front to fit. Lots of folks had to park in the street or on the grass. The pull throughs looked longer but are generally given to longer rigs. Your neighbors are pretty close to you as well, with their hookups being, pretty much, in your site. We had room to put our awning and some chairs out, but that's about it. Thankfully it gets pretty quiet at night.

While we aren't fans of the closeness, everyone was extremely friendly. There are quite a few long term / permanent residents here but again, super nice folks. All of the sites are kept clean.

The town itself isn't much but the essentials (WalMart) are available so it'll do. There is a huge sand dune area on the south side of town but we didn't get a chance to check it out much.

The internet here is so/so. Be sure to ask the office before trying to connect because the advertised one didn't work for me. They offered for me to connect to the separate wifi for long term visitors. It worked most of the time but have a backup if you depend on it. Cell service with AT&T was decent at 2 to 3 bars of LTE unboosted. T-Mobile had a stronger signal but data was very slow.

Overall, not a bad place for a few days or even a bit longer if needed. If we're passing through WA again, I'd have no quarrels with another visit.
