The PT sites are very closely spaced with a setup where you share a hookup pole with your neighbor who is faced the opposite direction. The BI sites are much more spacious. Check satellite photos to get a better idea of where trees are if you want some shade. There aren’t many trees around so if you want shade you’ll need to do some checking and request certain sites. This site had shade on the picnic side in the afternoon. They have a mix of seasonal and temporary sites. I’m not sure how those are arranged within the park. I only had 1-2 bars LTE with Verizon. Calls were choppy at times and I couldn’t always get my maps app to load while I was at the site. The bathroom near me was clean and the laundry area had 4 each W/D with an electronic pay system in place. There were loads of activities. They can fill propane tanks on-site. It was expensive, but convenient. And they have a honey wagon available which may be complimentary if you stay for a while – check the details. I had a problem with a jack and the owner was very helpful opening the office early to get me some recommendations for service techs and also sent over some of their maintenance guys to help me out. I deeply appreciated the support. I don’t usually stay at parks like this since I don’t use many of the amenities and it's a budget buster for me, but I enjoyed my brief stopover there.

We usually go in October and it’s quiet but expect a few more campers on the weekend. Water, electric, and cable hookups which all work well. There are two dump stations and they offer a pump out service. The bath houses are clean and there is a laundry mat on site. We love this place as it’s close to RI and downtown Mystic. Two casinos are within a 30 minute drive. It’s a great getaway for us only two hours from home.

Site type: Back-in, water and electric only, 50 AMP.
THE GOOD
Location: Very close to gas, restaurants, and groceries.
Location: Close to Mystic (downtown and aquarium).
Maintenance: Clean campground that was well-maintained.
Amenities: Laundry was clean and worked well. Other amenities like the game room and such looked really nice!
Sites: Back-in sites are very large and the grass is nice for having dogs.
Dump services: The campground offers pump-out services.
COULD BE BETTER:
Sites: As much as the sites are really really spacious, they are all grass and weeds.
Dump station: It was a mess and the water hoses were all busted.
Neighbors: Had a handful of "vacation campers" around us so they were louder than what we typically experience.
WORTH NOTING (not good or bad thing)
Water: Was weird to have a shared water hookup with the site behind us.
Cell: It was a year ago so I don't recall the cell service.

It's billed as an "RV Resort" and yeah, they have the pool and mini golf and playground etc. Even so, the feel of the place is one of mostly long term seasonal sites with the transients relegated to what basically is an open field. 30amp and water only. They do have at least two easily accessible dump stations and free pump out if you're there for a week or longer. Pump out is on the the 4th day. The laundry was fine. It was clean and had four each washer and dryer. I think it was $2.25 per load. We didn't use the showers or bathrooms or any of the "resort" facilities. The biggest advantage is the location. 15 minutes to Mystic, Groton or New London. About an hour to Newport or Providence. They had a live band one Saturday night and it was loud and went on to 10:30. Unfortunately it was about 200 feet from our site. Not good. Otherwise it's pretty quiet there. The sites are wide so you don't feel on top of each other. They are fairly level with packed gravel and grass. No shade trees.

We came last year. We visit family in the area regularly and like to come with our camper instead of a hotel. Nice level site each time. Quiet campground was appreciated. Hook ups work as they should. Dumping station is clean and well maintained. Cell and WiFi work ok, not exceptional but ok. Zero complaints.

The people working there were nice but once it closed at 6/7 they were nowhere to be seen.
Kids did like the pool though. So if you have kids and a full afternoon, probably a better deal.

The streets have names but do not have signs at the end of them .I have watched campers driving around having difficulty trying to find their site. I purchased two bundles of wood only to find that the wood is wet and doesn't look like is was seasoned wood so a campfire is out of the question. The campers behind us said the same thing and he purchased a lot of wood. The store could use more items and stay open later. Not sure if that is a staffing problem. If so I understand.

The place is clean, we did not use the pool but it looked nice. Everything was good.
WiFi signal was weak, hence the 4 vs 5 star review. We would stay again.
