It is a lovely site, great for a night stop over. Clean, spacious with electricity on sites and plentiful water sprigots- although some RV’ers seem to think they are personal hook ups. It’s first come first serve. The rangers are pleasant. There’s a clean dump station. What lets the site down is the restroom. There is absolutely no privacy. There aren’t even doors on the toilet cubicles.. just flimsy and in one case (women’s room) torn, shower curtains. It would be extremely awkward to use the facilities with another person there. The shower itself is marginally more privacy with saloon doors. It’s clean and the water is hot. In conclusion it is great for self contained rigs but not so much for campers.

A really lovely, clean and tidy state park. No reservation, first come first served but was almost empty on a Tuesday when I arrived. The ranger was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.

Very quiet even though it’s not too far from I81. Big rigs may have an issue once inside the campground as it is a little tight in some places. It’s FCFS year round except for the Bristol race and 1 other local festival. Best $20 we spent on this trip.

Many sites are best suited for very small travel trailers or vans, but there are 75 sites to choose from. For $20/night we had electricity, water, picnic table, fire ring, and a grill. Some sites get free WiFi. We have a 19’ TT pulled with a Toyota Tundra and we had plenty of room at site 44. The road loops so you can look around and make an informed choice that works for you. There were maybe a dozen campers here during the week in early May.

This campsite was quite nice for $20. It’s heavily wooded, so shady and quiet. We saw lots of deer. They don’t take reservations but on a Saturday night in July, there were only about 10 campers on 50 sites. Each site has electricity and water (connection is out on the edge of the road) is shared between several sites so easy to have a water hookup if your hose is long enough. The loop road is quite narrow and you need to be brave to make it with a big 5th wheel of class A. I’d say this park is more appropriate for small-mid sized campers. Sites 21 and 26 are pull through a. The rest are back in and with a narrow slot and road, you need pretty good backing up skills. With most of the park empty, take a drive around to pick your best spot. Don’t take the first one you see. The bathrooms are totally adequate although not fancy. It’s a city park. They have a dump on the way out of the campground. There is cell service on the front half, none on the back half. This park is lovely and a bargain for $20.

When you first come into Bristol, you do wonder what you are in for, but Sugar Hollow Campground is an oasis in the city. There is electricity at every site, and a dump station on the way out, but. not every site has water. We chose a site with water, but spent an hour trying to get level and finally gave up. Most everyone we saw had lots of blocking though there were a few sites that seemed they might have been easier to get level. It offers beautiful camp roads to walk, trails to walk, and is very quiet. We would stay again and be more choosey about the site we picked.

We chose site 12 which was close to one of the two bathhouses. Our site was relatively flat with minor sloping for our teardrop camper. The picnic table, fire ring and grill were situated on a slight hill at our site. The bathrooms were decent..old and dated and not sparkling clean, but very acceptable. The shower was nice and hot. There are only two toilets and one shower stall in the bathhouse. It was only about a mile from the highway and very easy to find.
