Weather was raining and sleeting for the first couple of hours, then just overcast. Beautiful area, very quiet. Looking forward to seeing the stars!
Oh and people need to be respectful and clean up after themselves! Garbage left in fire pits as well as around the perimeter of the camping area.
There was a vault toilet however, pretty dirty and no TP.
We have T-Mobile and had 0 service, we also have Star Link which was producing 50 mbps. There was a lot of overcast.

This was an okay stopover. Pretty popular day use area for fishing so it was kinda busy. One other rv’er here when I stayed. I was lucky to get a level spot across from them. The road to get here gets pretty bumpy in the last couple miles. Lots of cows around which were delightful.

It's quite a few miles back to this location from the paved road, but the road was in great shape so that made it worth it. It's a very easy road to travel even with a trailer. We even came in after several days of rain and its heavily graveled to the dam so it's very easy access. The road across the dam probably feels a bit narrow to larger RVs, but we had no issues with the truck campers or felt like it was sketchy.
We arrived on the afternoon of Memorial Day and there was one 5th wheel that left a couple hours after we got there. (I had to put their fire out for them since they left it smoldering).
We had one night to ourselves and then another 5th wheel came in the next day but they were nice and quiet. During the day people would come in to fish from various locations around reservoir, but overall it was pretty quiet. We decided to leave on Thursday and I would imagine things were going to pick up for the weekend.
There is basically no cell service here as you sit in a valley, but occasionally my phone would register 3g with Verizon. Definitely not enough to work. I didn't try a booster or external antenna though. I did not pick up anything on AT&T or T-Mobile, however, we have Starlink, so it kept us connected with no issues. If you walked to the other side of the reservoir up on the hill, there was Verizon service there.

Going across the dam was a little nerve racking. It's narrow and dead center is this valve contraption you have to pull your mirrors in to get around because there's no room for any other maneuver. The road up to the actual campground looked very narrow as well. I'm not sure if two rigs could actually pass each other. Not for me. We arrived on a Sunday night around 7pm to find 4 campers already in attendance but room for twice as much. Phone and internet, but we had to search out the sweet spot in the camper for it.

We camped 5 nights at the Sublett dam and had the entire parking lot to ourselves. We arrived May 18th and the fishing wasn't open yet. The reservoir was quiet with very little traffic until Friday. The campers started arriving on Friday, but they were all going up the road to the campground. We saw lots of birds, and even a bald eagle. The area was clean and the pit toilet was stocked and clean. The road getting to the reservoir was easy to travel and well maintained. If you need supplies, it is about 60 miles to the nearest town. Cell reception was not available at the reservoir, although at night I could get 1 bar at times (Verizon) and some texts messages would download. It would not be possible to make a phone call. For dispersed camping, this is a great place and we would recommend to others!
