“Beautiful River Front Isolated Bug Infested Camping”

Some of the most beautiful camping I’ve ever done infested with thousands of every species of flying biting insects. Don’t bring young children here, they’ll get eat alive. If you can get enough bug spray on you it’s as good as it gets. Camping starts 6 miles down a well maintained gravel road so very secluded.

This is such a gem. Unbelievable that it’s free. Big sites, flat tent bed (didn’t use), picnic table and fire pit, a few yards from the river and you can hear it from your rig. Super quiet. The only bad thing are the mosquitos. I’ve never been attacked the way I was here, not even in the jungles of Central and South America, or Asia, even with repellent on. I lasted all 2 minutes outside. Even my dog was bitten.
Very shaded. Might not charge solar. I only stayed overnight.

Stayed 2 nights. Got here Thursday left early Saturday morning. Slept great both nights to the sound of the flowing river. We had the CG all to ourselves the first night. Then tent campers strolled in very late on Friday night. There aren’t any Sites #5 and #8. All grown over. So only 7 useable sites.

There were lots of mosquitos. DEET was our friend.
We loved this spot right on the bank of the river.
Campground did not fill any night. Plenty of empty spots available.

Echo the review except that I camped overnight on the first weekend in October, 2020. Cold nights but quiet with only the river to break the silence. The entry road, despite not being paved, was easily negotiated by my RV with dinghy tow at a speed that implied patience with few bumps and even fewer potholes.
