This place was a GEM to come upon! It was totally free but accommodated like it wasn’t! Electric, water, dump station, space, picnic tables and plenty of park for playing, walking, riding bikes. We had a quiet site in the back that “overlooked” the hillside and trees. Will stay here every time we pass through the area!

Appears to be open year-round despite details elsewhere saying "Open Apr-Oct". I'm here mid-November and there are 4 of us here. There are no restrictive dates on any signs. Sign says maximum of four nights. All back-in sites from what I can see. My truck/trailer combo is 39 feet and I stick out into the main area a fair bit when I'm not unhooked. There's still plenty of space to transit; it just looks a little weird. Electrical pedestals are in great shape. Free city WiFi on the SSID "Aurora Free Wifi". Trees, shady, picnic tables. Downsides: Hwy 34 has a fair bit of noisy tractor trailer traffic, and a nearby train track is noticeable. Nothing earplugs can't solve! Leave a little donation to say thanks.

Easy check in, nice city park while on the road. Quiet. Not a lot of sites so lucky to find one at the end of day's drive.

We are here now visiting family. Aurora is only about 4 miles off I-80 so very convenient for an overnight while passing through. We weren’t expecting water and WiFi. The only thing missing is a fire pit.

We stayed the night there crossing NE, it was very nice, flat, the wi fi worked great, our 39ft fifth wheel fit perfectly in one of the spots. The only thing is that they only had 30amp at least in the spot we were at. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice free spot.

We were pleasantly surprised when we saw this park was free to camp overnight on our way through Nebraska. Hook ups and a park for kids to play! It was clean and quiet. Such a nice place for free compared to places we’ve paid for!

Very well kept park with trees around camp areas. We enjoyed watching the rabbits and squirrels play. Nice picnic tables, water and electric. Envelopes and drop box at entrance for donations. Camp is within walking distance to stores and gas stations. Nice restroom with running water. Thank you Aurora!!

Sites seem to be first come, first served. We arrived about 5om on a Saturday night & it was about 60-70% full. The playground next to it is huge & the city pool is awesome (according to our 10yo). Big slides, netting with pads underneath (Ninja Warrior style) plus a huge splash area. It was nice they were open (& taking precautions against the virus). Entry into the pool was $4/age 10+, $3/ages 3-9, 2 & under free. We will definitely stay here again!! Thank you City of Aurora—it definitely makes us want to spend our $ here on your local businesses!

Now 9:30 and quiet except for traffic noises.
My experience is Thursday.
