Composting pit toilet building was among the best smelling (least smelling that is) of outbuildings I’ve used.

Most people seem to stay 1-2 nights. Enjoyed the flower trail, we clocked 7.5 miles and took us about 4 hours. Do yourself a favor and hike the fire road (out the back of camp past the turnaround) instead of the trail by the lake (poorly maintained and steep). Road noise was considerable during the day but died down at night. Breezy which helped with the bugs.

This campground is located beside Summit Lake, a medium-sized, bright jade green lake. Surrounded by mountains with spruce trees – it is a gorgeous place to camp. Located right off the highway, the campground has about 5 sites on the water and many more with water views. Arrive earlier in the afternoon to snag a waterfront or waterview site.
The camping area is fairly open – good solar exposure but limited privacy. A couple hiking trails lead from the campground into the surrounding mountains, including the 6 km Flower Springs Lake Trail that takes 5 hours to hike.
Site has pit toilets and garbage bins and a water spigot. No dump station and no hook-ups. Payment via iron ranger – place cash in envelope and deposit in metal post.
Day use area with gravel parking area and cement boat launch. Highway noise is muted by the wind and waves coming off the lake. Only the louder tractor trailer trucks were noticeable. No cell service at all on AT&T or Bell Canada even with a booster although a tower was within view.
