Do not stay here if you want hook ups! This is a lovely park with 7 sites and it’s nice and quiet, which is why I gave it 2 stars. I stayed here 2 nights. Do not stay here if you want hook ups! This is a lovely park with 7 sites and it’s nice and quiet, which is why I gave it 2 stars. I stayed here 2 nights. The first night I tried to heat left overs and although my microwave turned and the light came on, it would not heat. I ending up using my generator to cook my food. In the morning I tried to heat water for my shower using the electricity. It caused my surge protector to kick in. I had to use propane to heat my water. Had I not already paid for 2 nights ($20/night) I would have left. The night before I left, I tried to fill my water tank. The faucet did not work. Not a drop. By now I was disgusted. The dump station seemed to work because throughout my stay I saw people pulling in and using it, but I decided not to chance it. Maybe I was jinxed. I’ve stayed at a whole lot of FREE campgrounds with way better workable services. I didn’t mind paying $20/night. I minded getting nothing but a parking space for my money. There is even a sign at the entrance saying if you do not use services, it’s still $20/night.

Corner of 183 & 24: 7 pull-through gravel campsites with H2O, picnic tables, room to walk & play. Stockton is a small sleepy town. Couple of good restaurants. I ate at the Mexican restaurant, Los Arcos. Food was great.
Didn't get to see the museum but also supposed to be good.
If you are traveling east/west on I70 do yourself a favor and try US 24. No traffic and the road is smooth as silk compared to I70 and the usual pounding of the concrete joints :)
Verizon was 5 bars but slow on upload and only about 9mbps down. AT&T rocked.
Gary would stay here again
