The grounds keepers are champions! They’re busy beavers all day! For the town of Stickney there was barely a stick about, they put it all by the fire pit for us to burn with the free wood they put in the fire pit (which we weren’t going to use but they seemed determined to make sure we enjoyed our stay). The play set is new, the showers were open and free but we didn’t find out until the morning we left. There are 2 signs for campground info. One is faded and asks for a donation. The second is set further back and says $15 per day. There are 2 front sites with electric and one set back water spigot. There are 4 longer sites behind the large white sign that have electric and water per site. As we were about to leave froundskeeper said they had grey dump at the back but we didn’t use. There is nothing to do in Stickney that we could find… and we asked at the burger stall(??) which had great food and friendly locals

There is not a dump station but if you are headed west on I-90 then you can use the dump station at the White Lake Rest Area. There are two in-ground fire pits near the sites closest to the highway and the city had tubs of firewood and starter nearby. There was also a volleyball court with volleyballs. No picnic tables at the sites but there are picnic pavilions in the park. Also a pool and diner in the park.

The showers, restrooms, and diner by the town pool close around the second week of October. Camping is $15 if you use electric and or water, payable at a donation box. If you want to dry dock, it’s free.
The park doesn’t have shade trees over the RV areas but has picnic areas, playground equipment and a nice track around the ball field. The diner has burgers, chicken, shakes, malts, and friendly faces.
Verizon service was about two bars.

We stopped here for one night while traveling, is nicely laid out, very nice sites. Short walk to the showers/ washrooms. Just past the shower house is a small diner that had incredible food. Location is easy to reach from the Highway and well worth the visit

Stayed 4 nights and would come again. Also the only dinner in town is in walking distance, they have good soft serve ice cream!

There is a community swimming pool on site and a playground so this would be a great spot for a family.

We stayed here last fall - so we decided to stop for an overnight again. We arrived after dark so we just pulled in to the grassy area like we did last year. When I got up and went for a walk I immediately saw there were two small gravel sites near the road with electrical boxes, and four more larger gravel sites with electrical boxes a bit farther back - which is where we probably should have parked - but last year there were several other campers on the grassy area so maybe that’s ok too (there are several 15amp outlets in that area). I did notice one other thing - a sign marked “Camping - $15 per day” with a small deposit box.
Bottom line, even though this site may no longer be free it’s a nice campground that’s not too noisy (at night). As others have mentioned, there is a bathroom with showers a short walk away and water and electrical are available. If we pass this way again we’d certainly consider staying again.

We are always looking for a quiet overnight stop on our travels. I figured this one being 8 miles off the interstate would be good. I was concerned about a Highway 281 that runs right by the park being noisy at night. Prior to stopping there, I contacted Amy at the “city“ office. She told me she’s been there all her life and did not think it was noisy.
There are only four sites That have electric and there is a central water pump to fill your tank. I’m sure more can park in the grass with no issue. One rig already there told us they had problems with surges in the electric service so they opted to use their quiet generator.
I was told by another camper that the shower building was nice, but we did not use it. Nice playground, and there is a swimming pool there but in mid August it has been drained. I believe they ask for a five dollar donation for pool use when it is available.
Well, we got there about 4:30 in the afternoon and the trucks were noisy hauling grain, hay and livestock. Nonstop, all evening. Then suddenly at 9 o’clock, like a switch, they all disappeared. Very nice quiet night I believe I only heard one go through all night.
The camping is “free“, but there is a sign where they asked for a donation. They are improving their playground and this is how they tend to raise money for it. Hey, It’s worth a donation!
