This was a really nice campground. The sites were paved and had fire rings and picnic tables. The bathrooms were clean. The water was disappointing. The reservoir is filled with blue green algae which is toxic to animals and humans. Don’t let your dogs drink water from the reservoir. It also smelled bad along the shoreline. We had one ... more

Gunnison offers a lot for everyone including some good dog walks. Internet at Cresta Butte and Gunnison is limited due to low towers and overcrowding with the summer tourists. However, at this campground, the internet is generally good but it will go down a few times a day. The campground is very quiet with a few campers. The toile... more

We've stayed here several times now and always forget how pretty Blue Mesa Reservoir is. There are no hookups but sites are paved, well spaced and most have great views. Vault toilets are clean and stocked with hand sanitizer. Water spigots are scattered around the campground. There is no dump but one is available at Elk Creek campgrou... more
