Have stayed here a couple times. Love the remoteness!! Stars on a clear night unbelievable!!! Be sure to bring everything you'll need and food for your stay, it's a long drive to the store..which is what I love about the place. We have AT&T cell service, in the park its 1 to 0 bars. We really enjoyed this park. We joked about "roughing it" and being "off the grid" because our cell phones did not work. Thought I would hate that, but I loved it. The park itself is nice, with gators everywhere. I still get a kick out of seeing them, even though I live in Florida. We highly recommend the guided boat tour - Only $... more

We really like this park. It was pretty cold during our stay so we didn't see as many gators as I would have liked ;-) Also be aware of the "flood stage" when you go - many of the hiking trails will be very wet. Check out the video we made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlHocGrki4w The boardwalk trail near the boat dock is a... more

It’s all about the swamp! We had a great time kayaking. Loop with higher numbers are better sites, but some have very narrow entrances, and tough back in. Will definitely be back. We loved no cell service, but others may find it to be a problem. Campground store has snack food, and a few other essentials, and even nearest town (20... more

Great campground out in the Okefenokee. What impressed me was the absolute quiet with only the sounds of nature. Campsites were large, fairly private and mostly level. Clean restrooms and showers. Cell service is spotty at best, you may experience no service at all but this is a good place to disconnect and enjoy the experience.

We camped here 2 nights before the meteor shower in December and the stars were incredibly bright. The 1st loop was closed and we drove around and picked out our sight and we were one of the few campers there that night. We stayed in either 32 or 34.
