Pros: cell service, free, lots of spots.
Cons: no bathrooms and the winds.
We stayed 2 times and the second time the wind gusts were 28mph and it was not fun. We were in a tiny camper and that was ok but we were not able to be outside at all.
The views are amazing tho and if the winds are not over 20mph this place is awesome.

We arrived around 6pm on a weekend night and had no issues finding a great spot with an amazing view. We saw plenty of other campers come in after that as well, and plenty available spots. It was windy, and overnight definitely heard some big wind gusts. We were in a travel trailer so it wasn’t a big deal. I do wonder how annoying the wind would be for tent campers though? It’s located 5 minutes from the park entrance, so it’s definitely worth camping here!!

This place is just stunning, though beware of the 30mph+ wind. I am in a rooftop tent and couldn’t sleep at all. It sounded as if I was being blown off the cliff. So beware tent campers or any big RVs. This place is really no joke. It’s nearly 2am now and I am praying the wind won’t get worse.

This dispersed area and the one compendium list as Nomad is really the same one, you just approach it from the North or the South but the road loops between. It's amazing that this dirt road is right on the edge of the Badlands looking into it. I was literally parked 10 ft from the cliff. Spent a week here which was longer than most. There were times when I could see probably 75 RVs with binoculars along the ridge. Then the heavy rains came and half left. Adequate dirt road. 5 miles from Wall and a few miles to park entrance. Probably will need to level unless you get lucky. Lots of places to park that would not require unhooking your toad. Saw NPS? Ranger drive through twice. True to it's name I had 40 views grazing at the cliff edge one day. Very entertaining

We missed Wall Drugs a few years ago because of the pandemic but stayed at this location anyway. This time we were able to visit Wall Drugs and agin spent several nights on the Wall. We love this spot mostly because of epic views, ease of finding a spot and the mountain goats! We weren’t privy to any epic storms this year as we were the last stay but we did get some epic sunsets and sunrises. This is a location that even if for only one night a person should visit. 7 miles form Wall Drug, a mile or so from Badlands National Park and access to several mothballed minuteman missile sites. Well worth the stop. The road in is ROUGH! Large potholes so beware! But worth the extra navigation needed to get in.
