So many amenities at this park. There was a night sky meeting so you could talk about the stars with a star guide. There was movie night so you could meet at the amphitheater to watch it. The pool was closed at the time of our visit. There was also a playground-we did not utilize it though.
The gift shop was great very well stocked and such friendly rangers. They are super helpful and answer any and all questions that you may have.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay. It was very peaceful and a great place to disconnect. Oh speaking of disconnect, we did have perfect connection while we were there. Very spotty on our drive getting there but once at camp we had great and perfect internet connection.

We are originally from this area and were visiting family. Surprised to see that they had a number of big rig friendly spaces in a state Park. All sites are shaded. You need to be a confident driver to navigate within the campground, but it is doable for the 4 pull through spaces long enough for the 40'+ rigs. No full hook ups, just water and electricity. You are well off the grid. T mobile Internet was lucky to get one bar. Verizon the same but was serviceable. Starlink hit or miss depending on whether you might have enough open sky. Quiet this time of the year and plenty of deer and skunks around at night! There is also an equestrian campground you can reserve about a mile before the state Park sign. I would consider that if shade is not an issue. Brand new bathhouse which is much nicer than what's in the main campground. Not much shade out there though. We used that equestrian campground dump station since it was easier to access and no one was there.

Beautiful trails and river views. Great for canoeing and kayaking. Our site was close to neighbors but not intrusive. Site was leveled and spacious. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts was the insane number of ticks we found on ourselves and our animals.

This was our first trip in our camper and we are glad we selected a state park that has plenty for the family to do. COVID-19 resulted in the pool being closed, but I look forward to how great it will be to come back next summer because the pool will be a great option for the kids. There are miles and miles of hiking and biking trails, an incredible amount of water access, and it is all situated between two rivers as they come together into Lake Kerr. The bathhouse was clean with coin laundry machines available as well. No full hook ups, but did have water and electric. The sites were nice, spacious and level with picnic tables. Cell service was definitely difficult to come by, but it was nice to disconnect. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay so that we have an opportunity to enjoy all of the various aspects of the park.
