“Quiet small campground ”
Reviewed 6/23/2022

Days stayed: | 6 |
Site Number: | 14 |
Site #14 has Cook Inlet and mountain views while #13 has a short path leading to a beach inlet overlook. All sites are for tent campers, vans, or small RV/trailers. We just barely fit an 18’ teardrop into our site. Please close the trash bin lid (had to chase away a small bear who discovered it open.) Good Verizon service, away from the crowds, heard some highway noise but mostly sound of crashing waves from below. Clean bathrooms.
Liz would stay here again

“Small campground, big flowers”

This campground was high up on a bluff overlooking the ocean and beach, but with no access to the beach. The foliage was intense with the camp sites snuggled deep into the wild flowers and cow parsnip.
Be warned, while the sites can handle some larger rigs, the road into the campground can not. Very, very tight and no ability to let traffic pass if you are entering when someone else is leaving (one of you will be backing up a fair distance) .
A 30' trailer is about as long as I would recommend. Park it in the first spot available and walk the small campground to choose a site as you will not be able to redo the loop once you are on the road. The only way is to exit the campground entirely (including going back onto the highway and finding a place down the road to turn around) and re-entering the campground.
Once you have a site though, the place is amazingly pretty and worth it. Not much to do around (no trails, no access to beach, etc) but if you are looking to avoid the fishing crowds, this would be a great place.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of noise from the highway which is only a few yards away
