No joke, the train sounds like it is taking off the back of our RV!
Once we pulled in we realized we had camped here before in a trailer a few years ago.
SK would stay here again

It's nice that the City of Stanley has this little RV park, but they clearly have other priorities. The park has twelve spaces with electricity. The condition of some of the outlets is questionable. The code they gave us for the women's restroom and shower did not work, so my wife had to use the men's. The men's room is in extremely poor condition. The hot/cold water to the sink is piped backward. The shower has low pressure. The entire men's room appears to have not been maintained in several years and the entire building is decrepit.
The campground is wedged between the railroad, the golf course, and a main thoroughfare. There is negligible grass between the campground and the main road. Trains roll through about every half hour.
There is a public siren in the park that sounds every time there is a fire call anywhere in the city. It sounded three times when we were there.
One thing that is in great condition is the sign listing the campground rules at the entrance. That sign is brand-new, however, no one enforces the rules. Pets are not allowed, however two campers had dogs. There were a few piles of dog-do on the ground.
The picnic tables are covered with bird poop. No one cleans or maintains this park.

Attempting to pay was a little complicated, with a sign sending us to a locked building across the street where a corrections worker coming on shift gave us a phone number. This turned out to be for the police who oversee the park. They explained that, if we were not using services such as the showers or electricity, the camping fee was waived.
There was some morning noise when golf course garbage bins were emptied and an air raid siren went off at 9 am to summon volunteer firefighters to a call. The campground is also close to train tracks which were quiet from about midnight to 6 am.
We observed use of the potable water hose to clean a black water hose by a passerby. Yuck! The City may want to take steps to separate the potable water from the dump station.
