“Nice KOA with free wifi”

Reviewed May 07, 2018

Overall Rating

Nice KOA, right off Route 66 (business loop 40). The wifi works great, the people were friendly and the restrooms/showers were nice and clean. We were staying in a tent and had a mulch/wood chip site which was very difficult to put pegs for our tent into. It’s near the highway so you get some noise but nothing terrible.

“Open 365 days”

Reviewed Mar 27, 2018

Overall Rating

GPS Note: US Business Loop 44, not Historic Route 66 This KOA is open 365 days a year and is a great location Southwest of the St. Louis metro to be "out in nature" but have accessibility to the interstate to zip into St. Louis. The sites are pretty good size, with a picnic table and a fire ring at each site. We stayed in 30 amp ... more

“Nice KOA, but next to a freeway”

Reviewed Dec 17, 2017

Overall Rating

This is a nice KOA, with lots of mature trees and very big spots. The staff is very friendly. The location is great for visiting St Louis, it is only 15 or 20 minutes into downtown. The drawbacks are that it is next to the freeway, so there is a bit of white noise. giving it four stars because the freeway noise quickly becomes ... more

“Very nice campground but needs some maintenance.”

Reviewed Jul 30, 2016

Overall Rating

The overall campground is in a nice area and for the most part is clean. There are some upgrade or maintenance projects that seem to be stalled. If you have a big rig the trees need to be trimmed as there are some low hanging branches. It looks like whenever the staff is done with anything they just push it off the side of the road and... more

“Great basecamp for visiting St. Louis”

Reviewed Jun 07, 2016

Overall Rating

This campground would be great for a family weekend trip, or to use as a basecamp to explore St. Louis. It is minutes from Six Flags and 30 to 45 minutes from anything else you might want to visit in the city. While the campground isn't huge, it was surrounded by some wooded hills and has many mature trees so it still feels like you ... more
