It only took one leveling pad to get level, so that wasn't a challenge. Water and power were great to have, and I didn't need the sewer connection. The site (pull-through) was plenty long enough for my 35' toy hauler, truck, and RZR parked behind the camper. Almost everything about this place is great (not far from town either). The only downside is that the cell service wasn't good enough for me to be able to work, so I had to leave early. Before I left, I walked the entire site and found an area that got about 4mb of AT&T. Good enough.
I took a star off for "noise" since there were a couple yahoos in the camp who thought it would be cool to rev their OHVs as loudly as possible when going out to and coming back from off-roading. I'm usually pretty tolerant of that but these guys had zero awareness. Like, none.
Nevertheless, as long as I can get one of the spots with service, I'll definitely be going back.

Great sites for a state park. A number of the back-in sites in campground 1 might pose some challenges for leveling but all have great concrete pads. The pull through sites are lengthy and have plenty of room for your toys. Sites are electric only. Park was very quiet and very few people mid-week at the end of Oct. Site quality is a 3 only because of the slope that gave us a little trouble leveling otherwise the site was huge, clean, and very comfortable.

Delightful! We stayed in Campground One. The park is very clean as are the bathrooms and shower houses. The sites are twice as wide and longer than any state park we have ever stayed in. The amount of space you get is staggering. We were there for Memorial Day weekend and were nervous it would be loud but it was not. Everyone observed the quiet hours and the park speed limits. We aren't ORV people but we still had a great time and everyone was friendly and kind. The beaches were clean but know vault toilets only in those areas. There were tons of kids running free and playing and riding bikes and it felt totally safe. The gate gets locked at 10pm which also helped with the sense of security. Also, take the time to visit the Mining Museum near by, its really neat and worth the 4 bucks. We will absolutely visit again with our cutie patootie little T@B teardrop camper.
