“Fantastic! Known for ATV/ORV trails”

Delightful! We stayed in Campground One. The park is very clean as are the bathrooms and shower houses. The sites are twice as wide and longer than any state park we have ever stayed in. The amount of space you get is staggering. We were there for Memorial Day weekend and were nervous it would be loud but it was not. Everyone observed the quiet hours and the park speed limits. We aren't ORV people but we still had a great time and everyone was friendly and kind. The beaches were clean but know vault toilets only in those areas. There were tons of kids running free and playing and riding bikes and it felt totally safe. The gate gets locked at 10pm which also helped with the sense of security. Also, take the time to visit the Mining Museum near by, its really neat and worth the 4 bucks. We will absolutely visit again with our cutie patootie little T@B teardrop camper.

We stayed in campground 2 and is was so quiet and peaceful. Campground 2 is the equestrian side of the park but was mainly empty. The main campground was about 5 miles away with showers and a laundry mat. Beautiful lake to swim or rent a canoe. Main campground was packed for the weekend and seamed busy. Campground 2 was primitive and 30 amp only. Main campground had 50 amp spots. We paid $23 a night.
