We booked a one-night stay here on our way to the North Shore. We hadn’t been to this park before. It was quite nice. Electric and water hookup, but no sewer (but there was an available dump station). Went to Head of the Rapids at the end of a long bumpy road - not worth the 12-mile drive. St. Croix State Park is the largest state park in Minnesota. More than 200 sites are spread over three adjacent campgrounds that number sites consecutively. We stayed in the Logging Trail Campground. Approx. 20 miles east of I-35 and Hinkley, MN on Rte 48 headed towards Danbury, WI. The SP is five miles south of 48 in a beautiful birch, oak and maple forest that has been harvested in places and has new growth coming up. Very picturesque!
