“Beautiful campground with a nature trail, close to New Orleans”

Reviewed Aug 08, 2018

Overall Rating

We loved this campground! Being in Louisiana, there was so much greenery. It was a really beautiful campground with partial hookups. It was also near New Orleans, so we drove out for a day to explore. If you want to stay within the campground though, there's a nice nature trail (beware of swampy areas! You might even spot some alli... more

“Small but quiet and convenient”

Reviewed Feb 10, 2018

Overall Rating

This is a small park (51 sites), easy to get to and conveniently located for visiting New Orleans. It is mostly quiet (see below) with very clean bathrooms, laundry ($1 a load-2 washers, 2 dryers) and showers-with lots of hot water except in the morning when everyone else is using them. Not a lot of hiking trails but walking/runn... more

“Great park 30 mins outside of New Orleans”

Reviewed Jan 21, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed here while we were checking out New Orleans. The sites are pretty large but the pad was narrow for our rig. We just fit in the spot that we reserved. It was nice to not be right beside our neighbours! Free WiFi although we weren't able to watch Netflix on it. No sewer hookup but there is a dumping station. W/E included. There... more

“A little far from the action, but pretty quiet and clean”

Reviewed Nov 10, 2017

Overall Rating

This park is a little far from New Orleans, and nestled in between some oil refineries, but it's pretty good for the price. It was packed on the weekend days we stayed, but pretty sparse during the week. The bathrooms were clean and sites were very large. There was some military training flights on a couple of the mornings around 9, th... more

“Very pleasant, quiet. ”

Reviewed Jan 12, 2017

When I called Ginger was on duty and was very inviting. She told us where not to camp in New Orleans and told us to come by and see St. Bernard before deciding. It was like being in the woods while still in the city. As it turned out we were just 15 miles from The French Quarter and it was an easy ride to get there. Wifi throughout... more

“An OK alternative to Bayou Segnette SP (but very buggy)”

Reviewed Nov 29, 2016

Overall Rating

Since Bayou Segnette SP was full and we wanted to go explore New Orleans, we opted for that SP. The sites are big and spaced out, but the parking pads are very narrow (not so great to back up in at night...). The bathroom building is old and not super clean (lukewarm water). There is a washer and dryer, but if you are used to the free ... more

“Nice, quiet park with lots of green and frog ponds. ”

Reviewed May 01, 2016

Overall Rating

We moved here from Bayou Segnette SP while saying in New Orleans. Big problem at this park is the sites were built back in the day of smaller RV's and we had a some fun backing in plus there's no overhang in the back. Spent two days hanging out in thunder storms and lots of rain. Close to the city and out far enough to not know it. Fro... more
