Stopped overnight on way to Austin NV and Big Creek CG. Fairly level. One other overlander with roof top tent deployed. Beautiful stars and moonrise at 2330. Windy.

Dino would stay here again

This SR 722 pull-off is part of on an old routing of US 50 and the Lincoln Highway that was abandoned in 1967 in favor of the easier New Pass Summit route.

Not the best spot along SR 722, but it has good views, a Verizon signal, and was a quiet place to park for the night before continuing my way west.

NAS Fallon is just 40 miles to the west and the Top Gun school likes to practice dog fighting out here. I learned this after my camper got buzzed real low by a fighter jet (F-16?). The Google maps car also passed us here. Look for my blurred likeness on the next street view update.

BLM Land. Free camping for up to 14 days.

Trash free, but 3 stars on the cleanliness due to an old dried up cattle carcass still decomposing nearby that my dog took a lot of interest in.
