Peaceful place with a level pull through site with a concrete pad for our chairs. Picnic table and fire ring were in good shape. Cell service was good also. Firewood was $5 for 12 pieces which is a good deal. Showers were clean as were the bathrooms. Fireflies provided entertainment for the evening.

TMobile cell was useable.
PROS:
We love a big level concrete pad. Just makes setup and living easier. The A loop has that. Plenty of space between sites to give you some privacy. Green and well tended. Most sites on the A loop are full hookups, but ours was water and electric only. Not a problem really for 5 days. Good large picnic bench for cooking and eating. Fire pit. Nice walks.
Town with grocery stores, laundry etc was about 10 m away. Convenient.
If you have a dog, the nearby K9 dog park is fantastic. Big multi acre fenced in site where the dogs can truly run free and the adults can get some entertaining steps in. A permit is required and day passes can be bought online but in fact no one asks. That's a unique place. We'll miss that.
CONS
Well... now that I'm at a less pleasing place, it is hard to come up with any about Squaw Creek. It gave us all we wanted.

This campground never disappoints as prior reviewers have said. It simply a beautiful park and the fireflies are the most prolific anywhere, even into the treetops. Along with the huge K9 dog park and bike trails its a great park and close to lots of shopping and food just north on 151. The only thing I'd like to see is the county staff crack down on folks who reserve sites and just leave their camper there vacant most of the time OR simply don't show up. I found 3 reserved sites in loop A that were completely unoccupied - the ranger said the couldn't do anything about it since "they might show up". It was July 13th and the sites were reserved for July 7 - 17th and totally empty. Fortunately, even on a Saturday afternoon, I was able to find a vacant site in Loop B. And one other thing - the date on post tags is not the check-out date most campgrounds use, but rather the "paid through date" - for example, I arrived on the 13th and paid through the 13th which means I check out on the 14th. A bit confusing since most other parks post your check out date.
