He’s quite good at it as we have been full-time RV’er’s for eight years. The campground host was great. He moved us to site one and although that was level, we couldn’t put out our awning and of course it rained,
The campground host is great. He moved us without us, having to pay the cancellation fee. The best site in my estimation was 11 for solar and size and it was a pull through.
We only had to pay half price with our pass.
It’s weird that it’s an army, corps of engineers campground, but the sites left a lot to be desired and we’re not engineered very level. There were one or two that were and even the dump station is at a slant out in the parking lot
They did have showers and water and trash throughout the campground.
Even though we had cell service, it wasn’t that great. My partner put up our booster, and it improved a little.
The beach and dock areas were really nice. You could have your dogs off leash to enjoy the water to the right of the dock.
The road is narrow back to the campground off the main highway and it’s also difficult to get out from that road back onto the highway if you’re going towards town.
Negative would be no set time for generators, could be good or bad. It said as long as you are not disturbing your neighbors???

Loved this campground, so sad that the smoke from fires obscured distant views. However,:
1. Attentive camp hosts
2. An all around beautiful place
Having a 25" Class C I did need to wiggle into the first spot,, but that's ok, I needed the parking skill brush-up.

Needed a place near Sandpoint where our son attended a music day camp for the week. We needed to have good enough cell service to work from the campsite. We use AT&T and were able to run remote control sessions, upload and download, and browse and email with no issues at all. Power would have been nice, but we survived on batteries.

Pulled in on Labor Day on our way home from Yellowstone. Easy to find a spot after the craziness of the 3 day weekend. Easy tank dump station on the way out.

On the other hand, the campers were very respectful of other campers. Our site (which we reserved for 10 days) did not accommodate our 23 foot trailer and did not look at all like it appeared online. Fortunately, we were able to take a walk-in site. The day use is very heavy, even during the week. The dead trees (standing and fallen) really need to be taken care of. We have stayed here in the past but will not come back. We almost always stay in public campgrounds. If you rely on solar, this campground is not a good choice.

This campground is best suited for small rigs and tent camping. The larger your rig, the greater your need to be level, the fewer your options, and greater your frustration and disappointment.

Firewood is available as well as a dump station.
My only negative is they lock the gate at 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM. if you will be out late you can get a parking pass to park and walk in to your site.

We were going to pick a provincial park north of the border, but with a COE campground and a 5 start rating, we decided to stretch our day and spend two days here. This one just goes to show how different people prefer different experiences. Unlike the other COE parks we've enjoyed, this one has no services to the sites. It's a classic northwest campground, heavily treed (no solar potential - anywhere) with lots for second and third growth fir and cedar. The right side loop road entrance is immediately after the office and has a fairly tight and narrow turn. Once again, I'm loving our little Scamp!
Campsite vary greatly in size, slope, and privacy. We selected site #1 which gave us a nearly flat section for the trailer, although a long wheelbase motorhome would have found it way too sloped. Most of the sites are best suited to mid-sized and smaller rigs.
The office has unusual hours. If you don't have reservations, find a spot that has open dates and come back at 6 to 9 pm to settle up and finish the paperwork. Sites are priced at $20 with a %50 discount for anyone with the Senior pass.
There is a dump station at the campground exit but it's sloped away to the right so we'll end up using lego blocks to get a good drain.
Verizon was weak, Google Fi was a single bar of TMobile, but the AT&T Mobley once again carried the day. Connection is slow - 5.3 Mb down, .5 Mb up.

But it's nestled between huge beautiful pine trees, super close to the water (which is nice if you stay left of the boat ramp) and well taken care of. The sites were very uneven. We normally don't put too much thought in leveling the trailer, but this time we bend two stabilizers because of the slope. Most sites are either uneven or too small for a trailer, so choose wisely. Also there are only about 3 sites that have decent solar.
Pretty much empty shortly after memorial day but fills up during the weekend. Super nice camp hosts and very close to town.
remember to explore would stay here again

I grew up going to Springy Point's public beach and using the boat launch since I was a little girl and never had a bad experience until now. I had family in town for the 4th of July and we decided to spend the whole day at Springy Point using the public beach and boat launch. My husband and I thought it would be a good idea to reserve a camp spot for (2) days so we would have access to it the whole day on the 5th of July since check out is 3PM and we would want to use it for dinnertime. We thought that reserving a camping spot would provide us a place of shade if it got too hot and we wanted to get the kids out of the sun for awhile, a place to cook on our propane grill and play yard games as a family without taking over the whole public beach area. I called the phone number on Springy Point's website to make the reservation, I told the representative our plan to use the camping spot for day use and she told me that would be fine and a great idea. I paid with my credit card over the phone for the 2 days ($40.00). When we arrived on the 5th we went straight to the beach because the ranger check in wasn't open, later my husband ran into a ranger and let her know we had arrived. The ranger asked him if he was pulling in a camper or tent camping and he said that we were using the site for day use only, she said that was fine and just needed his license plate number. Later a different ranger then earlier stopped members of my family (no they did not look for me the person who's name the reservation is under or my husband who checked us in) and told them we were not permitted to use the site and they were going to release the site so someone else could reserve it. After hearing this I went to the site where I saw the 2nd Ranger (Betsy Hull) telling my brother in law to move his truck out of the spot or she would give him a fine of $130.00 since we were not permitted to use the camping site. He moved his truck and I spoke with Ranger Betsy Hull who informed me that Springy Point has a rule that you must plan to stay overnight to use the spots, I questioned this as I have camped many places and never heard of something like this before. She continued to tell me that she doesn't make a lot of money from this job and barely gets by and rich people have no right to reserve spots for day use and make it so poor people don't have camping sites available for their use. I at that point asked for her boss's number and stated I would be staying in the spot until I got things figured out with her boss, Ranger Betsy Hull told me that I would find myself with a $130.00 fine then since I was not permitted to be in the site. I stayed anyway and called her boss Craig about the issue, he informed me that no we couldn't use the site for day use and that I shouldn't expect a refund of my money as it wasn't their fault I had got wrong information from the reservation system representative, not their fault they don't know the rules for Springy Point. Ranger Betsy Hull showed back up and shoved a booklet of the rules in my face mid phone call where she highlighted a rule regarding something about camping being defined as using the site to place a sleeping unit ie a camper or tent. I ended the call extremely disappointed with Springy Point Campgrounds, Ranger Betsy Hull who made the rude assumption that I was a rich sob and her boss Craig. Later a ranger brought my husband a receipt that showed me getting a refund for $20.00 as they planned to reserve the camping site to someone else who would be "camping" in it.
