“Parking Lot well positioned for the Salmon run”

Overall Rating

Located on the east side of Resurrection Bay, this city owned campground is rarely full. It's a gravel parking lot within sight (and sound) of the city shipyard. If you're here at the right time for the salmon, you might find it a very nice spot. Other than the salmon, this really doesn't have anything to make it a worthy choice in my mind. Too many people to be quiet, but too far from town to leverage restaurants, etc. It didn't look like it was too busy even over the July 4th holiday.
