“Epic spot for the Tetons!”

Reviewed Aug 15, 2019

This place was full on Friday afternoon in August! Drove around all the sites and even tried to go up into the dispersed camping area before settling at site #1 for the first night. Site 1 doesn't have the best views or privacy and you are right across from the gravel pits. But I was able to scope out a spot for the next day when peopl... more

“Easy access, free, mosquitoes and bugs were bad”

Road to access was easy. Campsites are across from some kind of construction/gravel area so there aren't the nicest close views, but you do get great views of the Tetons. Free is always nice regarding price. The sites are far apart so noise from other campers is limited. There was a fire ring we didn't use. Biggest con and why we w... more

“Absolutely wonderful! ”

Reviewed Jul 10, 2019

The view of the Tetons, river running through and stellar sunsets make this site #1 for exploring the area or sitting back and enjoying the view. The sites are plenty big enough for group camping but a single can be found as well. The road is a bit dusty but all drivers were very conscious of this and drove accordingly. Fire wood is ... more

“Amazing spot & convenient”

Reviewed Jul 08, 2019

Fantastic location right off the road. Turn in was hard to find but we turned around & got it. Nice gravel road. First 4 spots could easily fit large rigs. We went to spot 5 which was tight for our 29ft fifth wheel but we got it to work. We had no one around and a creek right by our site. Large riverbed just beyond. Fantastic spot & I... more

“Tetons, a River, & a Bit of Road Dust”

Reviewed Jun 27, 2019

Another amazing Teton Front Range free camping location. Just a few road miles away fro Upper/Lower Teton/Toppings, this area is set farther back from the main road, on a wide slightly washboarded (as of June 2019) laid gravel road that slowly narrows the further up you explore. Once you reach the National Forest boundary, you will see... more

Site 6 - peaceful by the river. No Teton views (better views at sites 3 & 4) but more privacy. Mosquitos are everywhere. Easy gravel road access.

“Amazing view!”

Reviewed May 12, 2019

I also stayed in site #4. The road into the gravel pit is well maintained and the first four sites are on good road. Then it gets a little rougher and smaller sites. I did see a few horse type trailers heading farther in so...? The mountain views are amazing, especially at sunset.

“Quiet. Beautiful view of the creek.”

Reviewed Sep 09, 2018

Overall Rating

The only night we had close company was on Saturday. Nice and quiet right by the creek. The road was pretty decent-we we’re in a small car tent camping, but I think smaller rigs could easily maneuver to get back here (although some of the sites are smaller).

“Sounds of the creek and a view of Mt. Moran”

Reviewed Sep 01, 2018

Overall Rating

Nice spread out sites along the road. There is a gravel pit next to some sites but I never saw anyone using it. I stayed in site four for the views, but there are other sites back in the trees and closer to the creek. Big rigs would do fine for the first four sites for sure, may want to scout ahead for the others beyond that.
