Several pull through sites on the gravel road. The site was almost level with a covered picnic table. The sites are nicely staggered so most have a view of the lake not the other campers.
There was a little bit of road noise but nothing that bothered us.
The views over the lake, snow capped mountain and surrounding hills!!!
The water is a lot further hike than it would appear but a nice hike if the temps are not too high. We went across the highway to the canyon which was fun to explore!
There are vault toilets and dumpsters. We are self contained so I didn’t visit the facilities.
Lots of little birds and lizards to watch.
We have returned here a couple weeks later on site 32 for a couple of days. Lopo you you by h
We bounce between AT&T 3G and LTE. The 3G is better than the LTE.

Note we parked in the big open area on the left just as we came down the hill as another camper did the same thing.

The water is low, but this is perfect for a stopover if you want one between vegas and tahoe.
Town is close by.
Check wind warnings for the area before planning a stop.
We had no bugs in April.
STAY OFF THE SAND-YOU WILL GET STUCK.

After driving for 7 hours we decided this was a great spot to call it a day. We’ve driven past at least 30+ times over the years. The spot was nearly level, easy in and out. A bit windy overnight but felt pretty sheltered from the wind that arrived in the morning.
Would/will definitely stay here again.

Spent one night at this location. It was a Friday night and only one other couple was tent camping. Spots all have a picnic table with an awning. Fire rings were also available but it was a bit warm for a fire. Great views of the lake and plenty of Verizon cell coverage.

Dry camping, no water, no hook ups, but what a view and price! Over looking the lake… we were here on Memorial Day weekend and lots of sites were open. Great for large rigs, sites are all very spaced out, lots of room. Cell service was good at our site… others had limited service.

We came here because the weather in Oregon and northern Nevada was terrible. Used Campendium to find this site. There are 3 levels at this campground. We stayed at the middle level. Most of the time we were the only ones here. Road noise from Hwy 95 is minimal. View is very nice.
