Spirit Lake Marina & RV

We were originally staying at Indian Point, this campground's "sister." But upon arrival, we only had a 30amp, so they suggested we go to their sister campground as they had a 50amp available. This place was TIGHT in length and width. There are boats dry docked and looked like they should be in a junk yard. We have a 33 ft Class A, and the nose stuck out in the "roadway." We got an orange cone from the office to put in front. We were at the end where workers came every morning and worked on what, I'm not sure. This and debris and trees is what you faced if you sat outside, unless you sat at the back on the "dock" where the boats were tied. This was not a nice marina and certainly not a nice campground. We only had water/electric, and there was supposed to be a dump station. We could not in any fashion get our rig into it; in fact, I don't think anyone could. It was by the office, no turn around/pull thru and cars/trucks were parked near it. So we went to the other campgound at Indian Point and used their dump station. Now that campground was a nice one where I would stay again. The Wi-Fi was good. Antenna TV was okay.

We moved from India Point Campground to here to get a satellite friendly site. It’s not a first rate marina but is ok. Sites are grass or gravel. Probably half are seasonal customers. Big rigs ok. Water pressure great. No sewer but pump out provided since we paid for FHU at Indian Point. WiFi was very good. Sits on St Louis River. Very convenient to Duluth, bike paths nearby.

From the pin placement it looks like it’s not in the water but this little Jen is right in the marina. It is a great spot with a very friendly manager. There is a store and dump station along with high quality WiFi and pontoon rentals. The seasonal boaters and campers are friendly as well. Easy access to back into the relatively flat sites along the marina dock. It’s a little run down and past it’s glory days according to the locals but we had a safe and relaxing time here. It was a little noisy due to a factory being adjacent to the marina but it’s absolutely manageable.
