This area is beautiful! The 8mi dirt road to get there is rough if you are towing a camper. Just for that reason I wouldn’t camp here again. However, it would be great for tent camping. The tent sites are very, very cool!!! There is an overlook hike from the campground that is short and steep with great views of the reservoir. The river along the campground is great for fly fishing and it gets a lot if activity. There is no access to the eleven mile reservoir from the campground/canyon. I’m glad we stayed here but next time I would park the trailer at a campground outside the canyon and just drive tot he canyon during the day. The host was friendly and attentive. Sites are clean.
