We wanted to hike south Sister and be close from the trailhead. Good pick !!
The sunset was beautiful, mountains and lake views, the spot was clean.
The road isa little bit rocky but nothing crazy.
Probably the best spot during our Oregon trip

The lake itself has some gorgeous views even though the water is kind of murky brown and not super beautiful. There are some easy walking/hiking trails going around the lake and I ran into a good amount of people there as well.
Good cell coverage with AT&T - 3 or 4 bars the whole time.
I'd stay again but I'd try to avoid high season. This is not the place to go if you are wanting any kind of solitude.

I got here in the dark but managed to find one a little off the road. Definitely recommend setting up in the daytime though, as spots fill up on summer weekends. The road leads to a trailhead and day use area so it’s kind of busy during the day but quiet enough at night!
Super close to a ton of trails, lakes and only about 30 min from Bend!

There are quite a few places to camp along the shoreline. The road is gravel but accessible even for a two wheel drive car. The bathroom is available at the day use area, if you happen to camp close enough. We camped on the 4th of July so it is pretty packed, but we still managed to score a pretty good campground.
