Spacious Skies Minute Man Campground

NOTE: Links from Campendium, RV Trip Wizard and Google Maps did not get me to the campground. Either input the actual address or the GPS coordinates right outside the office are: 42.55038N, -71.53727W. I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #71, an FHU, PT site for $94/night with all fees and taxes. Prices were a little higher since this was a holiday weekend. The roads and sites were a mix of dirt and gravel. Navigating the internal campground roads was difficult. I had to back up and reposition to get around one corner. There were some roads I would not have driven my rig down due to how curved and tight they were. Most sites were very close to their neighbors and trucks/cars were parked very close to the edge of the road. Site 71 was one of the larger sites in the park. Unfortunately, all of the sites in this little cul-de-sac had very low water pressure. I was able to get my tank filled but that was it. The sewer connection was also 8” above the ground so I practically had to build scaffolding to get the tanks to drain. I couldn’t us the black tank flush since the water pressure was so low. The sewer connection was also pretty far back. It took some jiggling back and forth to get the rig close to the hookups since the site was kind of on a corner. I ended up backing out since there was a good hill at the exit with a turn. I knew I would have a hard time getting out and by backing out I avoided driving through the campground. The park has lots of amenities. The pool was in constant use. There were lots of trees giving the campground a nice feel. The only restrooms/showers were at the office complex so I didn’t use them. Connectivity: 2 bars 5G with Verizon, 14.0 mbps download, was able to stream, several OTA channels, and wifi was moderately strong. The site had a beautiful big stone fire pit. For families, this would be a great place to hang out given all the amenities. For me, the price was too much given the conditions so I won’t stay here again.

The park feels like a state forest. Plenty of trees. Nicely spaced sites we did have trouble backing into our spot. It has narrow roads and took some planning to maneuver in. The site wasn’t very level and we had to back up an incline. We used blocks to compensate on one side. However once in the place we had lovely tree views on 3 sides. The free Wi-Fi was inadequate. They asked people not to stream videos but some people must have. I had spotty service to retrieve emails and read online papers.

The roads are not asphalt. There are plenty of trees and roots and rocks. Very rustic like good camping. Nice fire pits. We had a spacious pull thru, full service space. They have a nice playground and small dog run. The noisy areas-horseshoes, dog park and basketball away from rv lots and cabins. Nice friendly staff and well stocked store.

We had a hard time finding places to camp near the Boston metro area. We finally had the chance to book a weekend here at Spacious Skies/Minute Man. The cost reflected supply and demand, I suppose, but I don't remember paying so much for a site, even at other greater Boston area campgrounds. However, we enjoyed the rather homey atmosphere and the sincerity of the office workers/other employees we communicated with during our stay.

We camped here for 3 nights in mid-October of 2022 to meet up with my niece who lives in Boston. Sites definitely feel more "campgroundy" with the woods & trees. The site to our lower side was definitely close to us, but it was ok. Our site entailed backing up a slope to get in - a big awkward, but we got in fine and then were level. There are some really nice sites here!
Check-in people were very nice and the CG had great laundry facilities. Nice little store too.
There is a small dog park which was one of the best parts for us! I took our Lab there a few times a day and threw the ball - she was very happy.
The only thing I didn't like is having to pay $10 for my niece to come hang out with us for the day. Also, $66 for water & power is steep, but again, New England...
Also the CG entrance kind of creeps up on you - be prepared!

Clean grounds, clean bathrooms, level enough sites, friendly staff, tall trees, people walking dogs, sounds of kids playing during the day, and the smell of campfires. Happy to have found this great little campground! Cell service great on Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Would be all 5 stars if it wasn't for one neighbor putting the a$s in Mass and class, loudly cussing up a storm from the moment we arrived. Great for remote work as long as your neighbor isn't being that guy, but that's also just a Massachusetts greeting, so *shrug*.

This price is with a discount and 10days of reservations . We stayed here every year but this one . Our truck broke 12 days before our reservation was to start and spacious skies took 10percent. Of my prepaid reservation and corporate wouldn’t even return my phone call to talk. $975.00 prepaid and they scooped 10 percent. They got me once don’t let them get you!

Beautiful campground! Full of huge trees. It doesn’t look big rig friendly, but they’ve got it figured out how to maneuver all the rigs around. Our 40 foot fifth wheel was fine. Nicely spread out sites, clean and well kept. The laundry room even has a quarter machine! Lots for families to do in the campground, pool, sports areas etc. We did hear the train but not loud enough to bother us.
