We stayed here as a stopover to Yellowstone. The camp owners were very nice. My campsite was clean and the gravel covered pad was level. The grounds were immaculately cared for and the entire site was spotless. We used the laundry facility while there which was also quite clean. The campground has easy access from the highway and was not at all hard to find. I will keep this on my list of places to stop.
Just a note on Dillon: So many of the small towns we passed through looked as if they had seen better days. Dillon was the exception. It has a quaint and prosperous downtown area and most of the houses and yards we saw were well cared for. There is a small college in town and we saw many young couples out and about. The town has a friendly and comfortable feel to it.

Southside RV Park is one of our favorite spots to spend one or more nights. Today we are passing through ... enough time to park, get organized and take the dog on a walk to the dog friendly brewery (Beaverhead Brewing) downtown.
Pros
• The sites are nicely spaced with grass in between and tall trees to provide some shade. They also have unique one sided picnic tables.
• The entire property is very well maintained.
• There is a creek running through the campground.
• The owner, Janet is always helpful and pleasant.
• A great spot to do a load or two of laundry with multiple machines.
Cons
• None for us
Tips
• If you don't want to deal with a meal, Sparkys Garage is a short walk away. They offer hamburgers, sandwiches, salads and BBQ (pulled pork, brisket, etc.)

Super cute park! Very clean, well maintained, and very friendly staff. Wish we would have had the time to stay and check out the town, but it was just a one night stop for us this time. We would definitely stay here again if we get the chance.

We stayed here last year for 1 night. Liked it so much we did 2 this year. Quiet, clean, good size spaces with grass. Pretty little stream with ducks going through the park. Owners are very nice. And walking distance to a great little brewery in downtown Dillon.

Dillon is a very nice Montana town and Southside RV Park is a very good spot to stay. Nice grounds with some shade trees and a stream (with ducks) running through it. Very nice management. The restrooms were closed because of Covid, but that's a small issue IMO. Great place to stay.

We originally planned just a stopover at this park, but ended up staying for two nights. The owners live on site, and really do a great job of maintaining the grounds. The sites were gravel, and required no leveling and thick green grass is well kept between sites. The laundry room is spotless and all washers and dryers were in great working order. There is plenty of room to navigate internally. There is a crystal clear stream running thru the middle of the park, which adds to the scenery.
We’d come back here any time we were within 100 miles and in need of a stopping place. Be sure and stop by Sparky’s Garage for a burger (recommended by the park owner), the food is great. Dillon is a neat town!!!

Owner is welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area, with lots of recommendations for what to see and do during your stay. She let us pick our spot and offered help in getting set up if we needed it. We chose site #12 (back in) along the creek in the first section of the park. Across the creek are more sites, many of which are pull through and suitable for larger rigs. Laundry is in the first section and the bathrooms are in the other one across the creek, making it a bit of a walk from our site to use the toilets or take a shower, but it’s not a big deal. The grounds are very well maintained and we think the little lending library is adorable.
Only negatives are that the WiFi is a little spotty, dropping out occasionally and the toilet stalls have no doors, just curtains, which seems a little odd. Restrooms were very clean however.
Don’t miss going to Bannack State Park to walk around Bannack ghost town - very interesting history and almost all of the buildings are open to the public. We hope to try Sparky’s Garage, which is only two blocks away and gets good reviews, for dinner tonight.
