We stopped here on our first southeastern Montana road trip. Just outside of Baker, Montana about 6 miles down a well maintained dirt road is the South Sandstone Reservoir. Overall Rating

A fantastic yet remote spot a bit off the beaten path. We had plenty of privacy. The kids and husband also really enjoyed the view and the peace and quiet. It was well maintained and was nice and clean.

Overall Rating

This was such a nice place to stay. The water was warm and the noise level was low. We came to escape the fireworks on the 4th and on our way to ND It's dry camping at it's best.
