Road is under construction right now so that was a little inconvenient with the flag people.
Cell service only at the sunset view lookout.

Hard to beat this campground for a wilderness location. I had 30 amp service, no water. We were up over 8200 feet above sea level. It snowed several inches the night we were there. They had it plowed by 9:00 am. Lush with vegetation. Gravel spots which were not level.

It was a good site. Lots of trees and neighbors not too close. An odd shaped site in that it was long and narrow at the font and then wider at the back, but fairly level. Vault toilets were fine and clean-typical vault toilets. We were only there 1 night so didn’t put up our screen house, but there would have been room. There was no waterfill or dump station for the trailer, but we knew that and worked around it by keeping water in our fresh tank.

We enjoyed the 40 minute Park Ranger talk about the park in the Amphitheater that started at 8pm.

Campsites are separated by low brush and scrub oaks. No water, but I did see a spigot at the entry to Loop A. No RV fill allowed. Zero internet with Verizon. This was a nice campground in a good location. Ranger presentations at the ampitheater (walking distance) each night. The Black Canyon is amazing. The scenic drive has many overlook pull-offs with views into the canyon gorge. Nice Visitors Center.

A-13 is a tight site. If you have anything bigger than a 27' rv like us, then you will struggle. If you have slides, you won't fit. This is better for a tent.
B-18 was a pull-through, with loads of space and electricity.
We went to the ranger talks by the amphitheater and they were great.
There is a trail by loop C that is 1 mile long and takes you to the visit center - great views from it.
I would easily stay here again.

Some of the spots are kind of tight for a rig like ours (29 ft travel trailer) but overall we really enjoyed the campground. It was very quiet and peaceful, and you still get a nice nature feel in most of the spots.
We enjoyed walking around the nature trails and this was a great spot to go explore the park from. We were there after the main summer season and so the Amphitheater programs were already over.
We did a campsite review for this spot as well as a "6 Must Do's at Black Canyon of the Gunnison" which people have really seemed to enjoy.
I'll share both of those below if you'd like to check them out
