Can I pay with a check? I hesitate to drop a couple of hundred in an envelope into a pay box.

We got here at 4 on a Friday and it and all the dispersed campsites around it were already full. Just wanting to update for people considering the same. Ended up getting a great spot at lime creek rd dispersed area a ways south.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of June. There were only a few other people camping here so there were many open spots. South Mineral Creek runs right behind the campground; our dog loved playing in the water and we loved hearing the creek at night. The road into the campground is so beautiful! We saw moose, elk and marmots on the drive in and out. We initially planned on staying in Anvil, but it was pretty full and we decided to try our luck further down the road. We were so glad we did!
Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Water is available but there aren't any hook ups and there is a dumpster for trash. There are camp hosts, but we only saw them one day and didn't have the opportunity to speak with them. It was very clean and super beautiful.
We moved to a different area of the state after leaving here, and both my husband and I both wish we would have stayed at South Mineral longer. We are looking forward to going back one day!

Pristine and ideal at the end of a well maintained easy drive, but an unexpected price difference from what we had anticipated. It was full anyway (during Covid outdoor rush), so we just enjoyed the incredible epic hike to Ice & Island Lakes. I just wanted to update the fee information for everyone.
