Such a beautiful campground - sites are well distanced and the entire campground is picturesque with large trees, meadows and located on a series of hills. It's certainly not just a flat field with row after row of RVs. We were there during COVID, late in October, so really didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool or other amenities. We had both Sprint and AT&T internet service, and the number of bars was irrelevant. Both services were limited to about 4mbps, which was enough for most video meetings and light streaming.
Close to downtown Florence with chain grocery stores (Safeway and Fred Meyer), good restaurants and numerous sights including the lighthouses. If you're someone who wants to ride offroad vehicles on the Oregon Sand Dunes, this is a great place to stay.
While we were there, the staff informed of us of a broken water pipe and the water was shutoff to the bathrooms and all sites. The latest status was always posted at the campground entry, and within a few days, water was back on with a "boil water" order was in place, to make sure campers were safe while tests of the water were done. It wasn't the staff's fault that the pipe was broken, and they did what they could to take care of us.
The bathroom and shower facilities, when working, were mostly clean and the hot water was adequate. Laundry facilities were clean, functional and reasonably priced. The campground entry is a little funky - with orange cones to separate out returning guests with those checking in - the cones are at a bit of an angle. This makes it especially narrow for longer rigs if you've taken your rig out to dump, but are returning through the (narrower) line for returning guests. It would be easy to hit the entry shack or at least run over cones, so be careful.

We made a hasty decision to come out to the coast after getting smoked out of Diamond Lake in the Umpqua National Forest due to the fires in Northern CA. We arrived pretty late but the staff was nice and helpful. The layout is a bit confusing and the spots are difficult to get in to depending on which way you're going (most of the roads are 2 way). Huge place with lots of monster rigs. 30 and/or 50 amp service with water at all locations; a few have sewer but they were all occupied. Tons of amenities like laundry facilities, restrooms with hot showers, a pool, and hot tubs among others. Dune access is about a mile away and there are plenty of places in Florence to rent gas powered toys if you're into that. State parks and other attractions abound in the area as well.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds, very similar to Thousand Trails Pacific City. We stay three nights from June 18th through 21st, 2020, at campsite E136, the stay was free due to our Thousand Trails membership. Our site had electricity and water hook up. The site was level and easy to back in to.
Our site was very private with trees and bushes between our site and neighbors on each side. The E loop bathhouse was two spots down and up a flight of stairs. We were a couple of spaces from the dog run. The campground was at sea level and just a mile or so from Florence, Oregon, and a mile from the Oregon Dunes Recreation area. Once we entering the campground, the campground roads are all gravel, however we found the layout and map to be confusing as we got of directions down.
This is a very quiet campground, activities were minimal due to Covid-19 restrictions. We are looking forward to coming back post Covid-19 to take advantage of the closed outdoor pool, hot tub and clubhouse. The campground had clean showers, plenty of hot water and not more than a 2 minute walk from our campsite.
There are two dump stations at the exit of the campground, easy to maneuver into. My wife and I enjoyed the campground, we took a trip to Heceta Lighthouse for the day, geocached and hiked around the lighthouse.
On Sunday when we were leaving South Jetty we passed Dan and Jen Nevada, from YouTube notoriety. They were arriving at South Jetty and scoping out their site, Jen gave us their sticker and business card. Their Youtube site is https://www.youtube.com/user/flyfishnevada/videos

The beach is 2 miles down the road but had very little traffic. We were able to walk the beach alone several times. The dunes are close by as well but its a long walk so we often drove down to the parking areas near the beach which are free with a NW forest service pass.
The town of Florence is great and there are many beaches you can visit. Plan to go to Waterfront Depot for dinner. It's spectacular but make reservations in advance. We also stayed at the Casino nearby for a couple days. You can stay there for free with no hookups.

We loved our stay at South Jetty! It was one of our favorite campgrounds by far. The trees and grounds were beautiful and it was private enough that it almost made you feel transported to your own little-secluded place in the woods. Our site itself was fairly level, pretty big and had a nice fire ring and picnic table. We could see down to the little babbling brook below us and the trees surrounding us kept it cool and shady all day long. The grounds themselves were pretty easy to navigate, but the host at the Ranger Station did warn us that we may not want to take our 30ft fifth wheel into some of the areas while we were picking out our campsite.
The amenities were great! There was a pool and spa, saunas, volleyball court, dog park, horseshoe pit, and an adults-only Lodge and an all-ages Activity Center. I think my favorite part was discovering the book trade area in the Activity Center! Such a great idea! My fiance and I went to work in the activity center during the day since there wasn't any wifi at our site and it was very quiet. Practically deserted, really. We also used the dog park a lot, as we have two very high energy pups.
We seriously want to come back and stay longer. We loved the park, the staff, and the community. Check out our blog post for more info.

We enjoyed our stay at South Jetty Thousand Trails. We scored a full hookup site near the dog park. This TT park is heavily wooded and the temps were cool and damp.
Cell reception in the dog park was amazing, however, less than 50 yards away at our site not as great. Verizon worked well, strong enough for me to work without our booster, but we had to boost T-Mobile and AT&T. We worked and streamed TV without any issues. I can't attest to reception throughout the park just at our site. Also, did not use the WiFi.
We really enjoyed downtown Florence with its quaint little shops and restaurants. Its a great place to walk the dog and enjoy the local vibe for an afternoon. We had great fish and chips for lunch at ICM Restaurant in old town, along the river. They are pet friendly which is great.
This TT park is close enough to drive to the local beach side attractions like Oregon Sand Dunes State Park, Thor's Well, Devil's Churn, Heceta Head Light House and Historic Florence.
There is also a huge Fred Meyer grocery store at the end of town.
All in all, we enjoyed our relaxing stay here and will definitely return in the future.

Nice campground with all the amenities. The sites for non thousand trail members are first come first serve. Some spots with full hookups majority power water only. Does not have a price break for staying in partal hookup spots.
Overall good location near dunes, town and the beach. Would stay again

Did have descent cell service, yet internet was very slow. At the club house, there is wifi that was pretty quick. Our site was very private. There is a nice dog park for the fur babies. On our particular stay, they were suffering from short staff over Labor Day Weekend. The staff was extremely busy, but still managed to be very friendly. The dump station was backed up and closed. Again, due to the holiday it didn't open on the day we left, which was a Tuesday. Some sites do have sewer hook ups. Ours did not. There were several options to dump the tanks in either direction on the highway, thank goodness.

We really enjoyed this park.
After spending time with family in a heavily urban area (Portland) we were looking forward to some peace and quiet and this park delivered.
We stayed in a loop that was back in the trees and was super private. The local area was nice but in all honesty we didn't discover or explore much, we mainly just hung out at the RV. We had enough space to set up a really nice outdoor area where we could decompress, read, and work (required unfortunately).
The first loop in the park has mostly full hook up spaces but they have torn down a ton of trees up there and it felt really open.
The loops in the back are much more private, but only a few have sewer. We were super lucky that we were able to snag a spot that was both private and secluded and had sewer. There were a few spots I liked slightly better, but being as we planned to be there 10 - 14 days I didn't want to take them without sewer.
If all the spots in that more secluded loop had sewer this park would get a 5 star from me.
Like all Thousand Trails (that we have been to anyways) wifi was only at the lodge / office. I didn't even bother testing it.
We had great Verizon. Can't remember how the AT&T was and we didn't write that down.
Was very quiet at night.
