Early season stay and they say the RV sites are full so there’s 3 small RVs next to tent area. View is great but so unlevel we couldn’t reach the ground with back levelers. Hot springs- which were great after a day on the road- were extra charge. Elk roaming through campground.

The park is very well maintained. I would say it appears that 50% of the sites are full-time. We had one of the pull through sites that was level side to side, but had quite a bit of slope back to front. Manageable, it just took a number of leveling blocks. This is a great boondocking spot. Super close to White Sands. Surprisingly busy, we stayed 2 weeks with no problem. It is very dusty and windy and the entrance is pretty tight. And remember you are on a bombing range, expect the occasional BOOM
