South Fork Campground

We arrived on Sept 21, 2020 expecting to stay only one night before heading a little further north to Lochsa River. We ended up staying here an extra night because it was so nice. There are about 9 or 10 sites total, very shaded with easy access to river. Two of the sites are for groups, all sites have a picnic table and fire ring (multiple at group sites) and there is a large grassy area on east side of campground. Pit toilet was clean and water is usually available but because of recent pump replacement was not available when we were there. Mark, the camp host, was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this campsite for fellow travelers. I gave four stars for the noise only because campsite was right off of highway (as are most easily accessible campsites near rivers) and there was some traffic noise to contend with during the day. That being said, there was not much road traffic and it diminished severely at night, no problems sleeping. No cell service with Consumer Cellular.
