Sogerive Halte RV Park

Minutes away from Jacques Cartier Bridge and downtown Montreal.
At this time of the year, there's no need to reserve, staff is very friendly, we are French so it helps a lot to ease the communication.
Sites are 30amp or no service.
We paid 50CAD(36USD) / day.
There is no more WiFi on site.
There is drinkable water at the dump station but we don't drink from our tank, we always have some gallons of fresh water .
Our site #29 was right in the Saint-Laurent river across the Olympic park.

This is the only campground closer to Montreal which is a plus for tgat reason and because the ferry to the old port is just walking distance from the campsite and for 5 Canadian Dollars one way you go to the Old Port of Montreal . Sites along the river are close to each other. When it rains is muddy everywhere so figure if you go into your rig after been out. Some of the staff was not very nice or helpful at all and found on the jerk side. Other non English speaking were very nice and friendly .
Only 30 amps HU no water nor bathrooms . They have a dump site with water but I am not sure if that water is good to drink . I haven’t fill my tank . We never used the Jeep . We went with the ferry in town returning though at 7 pm last ride. Next day we got a 24 hrs day pass . The bus is 3 minutes walk and you travel by bus and metro . Their system is pretty good and worth it to keep the vehicle at the campground . Day pass was $10 US or $12.50 Canadian . Beside the mud and some not so friendly staff the camp is okay if you want to commute to Montreal either by ferry, bus, metro , bike or even car. $40 plus a night .

Right off main highway on St. Lawrence river, there is a boat available to take you across the river to visit Montreal. Cost was $46 Canadian for a site with electric only. Water is available at the dump station. They don’t take reservations but there appears to be a person at the gate 24 hours a day. Attendants only speak French, but they do use their cell phones to translate to English if you are not French speaking. This site can accommodate rigs of all sizes. There is a fair amount of road noise due to the highway that is right nearby. I would mainly camp here as a stopover site not as a destination. No restrooms or showers.

This is electric only but so convenient if you want to explore Montreal.

Cell service was excellent without a booster.

If you park close enough to the outbuilding near the dump station, there is free wifi good enough for streaming.

River sites there is no wifi, but the view of the sunset and the lights of the boats/city at night were gorgeous.

20 min bike ride to the subway station, or cheap enough Uber ride.

Grocery store/mall close by on the other side of the freeway.

Staff drives through the lot often as a form of security.

When you turn off the freeway to get to this place, there is a free public boat launch and huge gravel parking lot. This is free parking and has no signs for 'no overnight parking'. We saw a RVer camped out there for many nights in a row.

$42 a night gets you 30 amp hookup, slightly less for no services . Dump station and trash bins. Picnic tables. Close to downtown Montreal. Front gate has staff 7/24. Great view of the Montreal skyline, especially at night. Sites are small, I imagine during the peak season it is very crowded here, but at the time of this review (May 2019), there were only 12 or so RVs here. We originally were going to stay at the Montreal Casino, but the Casino doesn't allow overnight RVs on weekend. Lots of highway noise, but no worse than highway / interstate rest areas. Grassy areas to walk dogs.

Not a great campsite, but if you want to check out Montreal it works. As for a pay campground we got a non electric site for $23 American dollars a night, which is good for this area, but not many amenities for a pay site. There is 2 dumps and a trash and recycling bin. I think there is a bathroom by the harbor but never checked it out.

Not the prettiest part of the St. Lawrence River, more of a shipping channel. You can paddle here, but this time of year not enjoyable. It does make a good spot to bounce to downtown Montreal. Lots of bike paths here, about a hour ride to downtown on bike trails. If you want to take the closest bridge you can make it in about a half hour. Plenty of stores around to get what you want and it does have good free WIFI, what I wrote this review on. Otherwise the site itself is blah. Look at the pics I posted. I will say the pic I took of the St. Lawrence was a credit, from the campground there are trees blocking the view.

Its pretty noisy here 24/7 due to the busy highway 100 yards from the grounds, but for a city site it works.

We stayed here based on other reviews and it matched our expectations. Everyone was friendly, we had no problems rolling in a Monday afternoon in the summer to get a site. Backed up to the river, plugged in (I hate humidity) and we were golden.

We drove into downtown once for the science museum, and then rode our bikes to Old Town and took the ferry back. Super fun!

We had great roaming international signal with T-Mobile.

No reservations; C$35.66+tax=C$41/nite. About 30 electric-only back-in sites along waterfront & another ~15 electric inside; the remaining ~50 sites are boondock only. 2-sided double dump station near highway with 2 water spigots.

Exit 82 off Hwy 132, then ~1 km north just past the yacht club entrance is the park entrance w/2 gates—there is a yellow sign, but no mention of Sogerive. The address is that of the marina as well; pay at gate (the two attendants we met spoke minimal English) then stay left when the drive splits to the CG.

All gravel roads & sites (mostly flat or humped in the middle, but not real level), grass between sites; mowed & generally well maintained. Waterfront (thru sparse tree line) sites face E & 2 have shade trees—33 & 27—for those lucky enough to get them. If your Class A motorhome has electric that will reach, I’d suggest pulling in, not back-in. Warning: we experienced some hours of only 108-109 volts, so our EMS shut off all shore power.

We arrived Sunday noon and about 10 of the waterfront sites and 8 inside electric sites were open; only one boondock site was occupied. Verizon (roaming on Bell Canada) cell & data worked fine. DISH satellite (on western arc) did not work, but those with Shaw were fine. We saw no evidence of restrooms or showers. Hwy provide background white noise, so not a problem.
